Fallout 4 VR

Fallout 4 VR was a great idea but poorly executed! First off who ever thought it was a brilliant idea
to make Fallout 4 VR an entirely new game with the new game pricing should get fired!
It's nowhere near worth $60. I fortunately snagged this when it was 70% off. They should have followed
what the developers did for VR with PayDay 2 they made it a free addon for the base game,
for crying out loud make it a free DLC for regular Fallout 4 like the High Resolution Texture pack! Also a quick little add to the whole VR experience the infamous clay animation style looking NPCs known for Fallout 4 look horrid in VR... I don't know why but for me playing Fallout 4 in VR the NPCs look kind of creepy with their dull lifeless appearance just kind sticks out in VR, I guess because of the 3D effect of VR where you actually feel like you are in the game and you're talking to a poorly created clay animated looking person is kind of immersion breaking to say the least..... Here's a quick summary
from my experience with the game you'd expect to see with this.
Pros:
- Gunplay/combat mechanics
- VATS was actually really cool for VR
- The first time VR experience for a Fallout game
- Has free locomotion (not a fan of teleporting every 2 meters!)
- Mods actually work well
- No creation club
- It worked well for my Oculus Rift S (I've heard it won't even work on the Valve Index)
Cons:
- No DLC (If you have regular Fallout 4 with DLC you'll have to add the DLC files into the game directory for FO4 VR)
- Poorly Optimized
- Extremely Overpriced!!!
- The textures are potato quality (mods are the only fix for that)
- As of April 27th, 2018 Bethesda hasn't and probably never will do a patch update for this game
- The textures sometimes bug out and flash uncontrollably
- Replayability (at least for me is very low)
- Bugs bugs bugs and more bugs......

This is not worth $60 there's no excuse for charging such a high price for so little in return just sheer greed and stupidity, anyone wanting to try this out I strongly recommend you wait for it to go on sale. I got it for 70% off I only payed $17 for this mess and still feel ripped off but not as bad as if I payed full price! Like I said this would of been brilliant but unfortunately Bethesda is too lazy about making things actually work Tod can say it just works all he wants but we all know it just breaks!
