I'd say that it feels like it plays a lot faster and smoother, faster animations and all. I'd currently say that the two are somewhat equal, and don't know yet if I would prefer one or the other.
It may just be this remaster gameplay-wise though.

Just wanted to know if it was good, or if the 3D port is better. Never played an NES final fantasy and figure now would be a good time with the first three pixel remasters out
