If you ignore all the news around the game you would think it's a solid 8-9/10

Try playing the game without thinking about the company or the shop because the game play is brilliant and has been since OW1 launch.

Also Tracer oh my goodness gracious

Only after playing this for the second time for achievements did i realise how brilliant the atmosphere and voice acting is...

This game is heavily focused on atmosphere and story this time around... not bothering with any survival horror elements like sanity and lamp fuel in the other games which is nice when trying to enjoy the story without rushing through to make sure you're not wasting resources.

The Good-
- Different setting (1800s London)
- Solid Voice Acting
- Tense Music and Sound
- Atmosphere
- Story

The Bad-
- Fetching items and Flipping switches is about all the game-play you have here..
- Enemies are unfortunately not threatening to the player
- End Boss Fight

The Ugly-
- When the story is being told the player will have "seizures", turning the screen completely dark and 144p quality when dialog is being told which is kinda rough when moving through objectives.

Can't see what all the fuss is about the game kinda honks...
Looked for a game similar to "Bioshock" and got a boring stealth system and a shallow story.

Only 1-2 of the powers are actually fun to use,
All the enemies act the same through the entire game just humans walking on the same path,
You are punished for having fun by killing enemies, (encouraged to play stealth only)
Gameplay loop of teleporting behind enemies and waiting for hostiles to move gets old real quick,
The challenge maps in the "Dunwall City Trials" are mind numbing,
Ubisoft tier side missions,
Going out of your way to get bone charms is the biggest waste of time,
Killing VIPs is incredibly anticlimactic just like killing any box standard soldier

I tried to like this game but i found myself rushing through the last half of the game hoping the story might carry it but it doesn't and i find it crazy that so many people love this.

By far the best "Resident evil"

Resident Evil 7 presents:
Clean game-play
Actual horror
Great Characters + Voice acting
More Unique Narrative (Compared to previous games)

Best DLC in the series:
No trashy mercenary mode.
Various different settings such as combat focused Chris / Horror focused puzzles with Clancy
DLC provided answers such as what happened with Lucas and Zoe (some games forget to explain)

No Filler Just Good Fun, Horror, Story and Game-play.

Very Impressed 9/10

QTEs Should be banned on PRO Difficulty for inducing self-harm and carpal tunnel syndrome.

Sneak sometimes doesn't work being heard while crouching far away

Apart from this point the game was pretty much perfect
