I hate to say this because when you can play the game it's great. But its been 4 days after launch and the servers still go down daily. This is simple unacceptable. Do better, get your ♥♥♥♥ together.

Update: Although the messed up launch is not something to ignore, the servers seem to be a lot more stable now and the devs have been actively communicating with us every day in the form of daily one hour long QnA live streams. The game isn't perfect mainly pointing to the UI (which the devs have acknowledged so I trust that will be fixed soon) but the gameplay is great and would recommend it to anyone that likes PayDay 2.

That being said, it's NOT PayDay 2, the gameplay feels different but not in a bad way. Setting up a dodge build and running around the map with akimbo pistols is not an option, the game feels like a war of attrition/death by a million cuts so running around the map will quickly drain your limited resources. It is inevitable that you will run out of these if you stay too long and will have to leave.
I've also seen a ton of people compare the games saying that PayDay 3 is bad because PayDay 2 had more guns, heists and playable characters. What they seem to forget or in some cases out right ignore is that PayDay 2 has had at least 10 years of active development and I trust the devs to add these things in the future. PayDay 3 is not a copy of PayDay 2 and in my opinion it shouldn't be, if I wanted to play PayDay 2 I'de play PayDay 2.

Update 2: I don't think I've ever updated a review this often but I no longer recommend this game. At first it seemed like the devs wanted to communicate with the daily update streams but those stopped in less than 2 weeks and the content of these streams was pretty much "everything is on the table" or "We don't know yet". Further more the info in these streams was never published anywhere else except for those streams. So if you don't want to comb through an hour+ of useless and repetitive questions with empty answers there is no way to get up to date info from any first party source (I know some people made summary of these streams but relaying on third parties to update your community is not the way to go). Nothing of substance was ever talked about expect for an upcoming bug fix that should have included 200+ bug fixes this patch was supposed to come out on the 5th of October. The content for this patch was spit in half a couple of days before it was supposed to come out and on the 5th they said "haha made ya look" and didn't release anything. After that it has been pretty much radio silence. There is a lot more I said in my previous update which I no longer agree with, mainly some features that are in payday 2 that should have been in 3. These would not have been hard to implement and they just didn't (pre planning and crew customization are just 2 examples but there are tons more). I also used the phrase "I trust the devs" a lot but my trust has run out.
