Anime has normalized sexual content and dehumanizes women. It caters to male audiences, and deforms their views on women. Steam needs to get rid of their hyper-sexualized profiles and backgrounds from porn games. There are actively children on this platform, proven by steams new "Family Sharing" and also, the many E rated games. Having porn on steam will open children to EPI (Early porn introduction), which can become traumatic, and further into an
unhealthy attractions and future risks of abuse and manipulation of said victim.

From Psychiatrist "Caroline Giroux's" "Early exposure to pornography: a form of sexual trauma", she states:

(TLDR) : Early exposure to porn is traumatic and leaves a scar into adulthood. We need to regulate pornographic content online and in person!


In summary, exposure to pornography is not trivial. It can have traumatic effects leading to significant distress, disruptive behaviors, compulsive sexuality and even suicidal attempts. Until our society becomes more aware to the point of preventing this by regulating access to such materials more effectively, psychotherapy should be the main intervention to address the unresolved trauma, help the person deal with shame, anger, remorse, and to decondition in order to facilitate the integration of healthier scripts and perceptions of sexuality. It will also contribute to break the cycle of trauma. A medication reducing impulsivity might be indicated in some cases, or even an SSRI (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors) if we want to use the sexual side effects to the patient’s advantage.

Now to touch up on the anime part.

Anime at its core is fine. But there are SO many examples of women being sexualized and wronged, that it almost seems normalized. Alot of the times anime is considered "child friendly" or because its popular, parents wouldnt understand that its not safe.
