This tool is too powerful not to use. Aseprite has everything you need to make sprite work for all skill levels. The community is extremely helpful as well. I went from making very basic pixel art to competent sprite animations in the span of a few months thanks to all the help from the community. If you have issues understanding any of the features, there is a range of different YouTube videos covering them all. You can also just ask anyone in the discussions forums what issues you're running into, and you'll get a helpful reply in no time. Aseprite only makes you pay once, which is a godsend in this age of subscription purchases.
