Hello. I love playing games. That's about it...
Review Showcase
I'll probably be playing more of it, but I don't recommend you buy it right now.

Why? Because it's not really released yet. Oh, sure, scroll up and check, it came out November 30th. But it's not really out.

It's not really out because:
1) There's options in the game that are written as "coming soon".
2) There's no option to play this game on your own or with friends only.
3) Performance is extremely unreliable. Some people will crash, other will get extreme FPS drops mid mission, and others get disconnected.
4) See 3), and then read 2) again. If one of your friend crashes or gets disconnected, a random can take their place before they can rejoin... and your only choice is to kick the random, and that's if you're already 3 friends in the game.

Fatshark literally jumped the shark on this one. In a rush to hit the holiday season, they've committed to an even worst release than vermintide 1 and 2. The game might be in a much better state in a few months - but right now, it's an hot mess.

MORE DETAILS/RANT:

-Daily/Weekly FOMO reward system, locked until 5+ hours in the game. So you get sub-optimum game rewards until then. Oh, and that's 5+ hours in the game, PER CHARACTER. Every new character? New grind to unlock dailies/weeklies.

-Random drops from mission are extremely rare. Compared to Vermintide 2, where you got 3 new items per mission minimum, Darktide forces you to check the item shop EVERY HOUR (literally) to buy marginal upgrades to your gear... if it's available. Every hour you get a dozen items you can buy to replace your current gear, and they're RNG. You might get an upgrade for the weapon/trinket you like. You might not. If you don't, gotta wait a real-life hour.

-Completely separate progression for every classes. Which means, if you want to play a new character, you start absolutely from scratch. No weapon or trinket sharing, and even worse, your power level starts back at the minimum so you get starter gear... that you have to upgrade at the HOURLY shop.

-Visual clarity and sound cues are not where they need to be. When I play VM2, it's impossible for me to miss a player that got caught by a special enemy or miss the tell-tale sound of a special spawn. Darktide is different, the visual chaos is so messy that I often cannot tell if someone's grabbed or what spawned until it's right in your face. External comms is much more important.

I could go on - this game's undercooked as all hell. Give it time, save your money, buy some other games. You won't miss out on much and get much more later.
