This game is SO good. I never thought a top-down western shooter could be a successful immersive sim, but this game has proven that wrong. The world is awesome and super intriguing, and the gameplay is fun. Choices matter and making those choices is satisfying. The game isn't perfect, there are some bugs and some annoying quirks. Overall, though, this game is highly engrossing. I'm baffled by the sales and reviews so far... if you're a fan of immersive sims, don't miss out on this one.

This game is a masterpiece. Everything looks like a gorgeous painting and the music is full of emotion and melody. The gameplay is quite unique, since the game plays a bit like 3-on-3 basketball, but it mixes it up with character abilities, movement and attacks. It’s a great mix of strategy and action. The best way I can describe it is that’s it’s like chess but instead of plastic pieces it’s actual people you’re commanding and instead of just removing a piece you get to see them get their crap pushed in.

The story is wonderful and immersive, and for once it’s a fantasy world whose idea of fantasy isn’t elves and dwarves.

If you’ve played other supergiant games and loved them then this one is basically a must buy.

Overrated and quite boring with a slow beginning. Not trolling, my genuine opinion. Also like FNAF this game has the most horrible fanbase. They deserve to be flown to mars and left to starve or eat each other.

Still, I am recommending this game because apparently everyone says it's art and I'm all for video games evolving as a medium.

Beautiful game with excellent voice acting, nice story and a very children's storybook vibe. It has everything a kid would want in an adventure: action, scares, worry, awe, relief... all in all a very fun game that comes off as a little easy but very entertaining. It helps that movement in the game feels very fluid and the platforming is very well done. It's a little short but very much worth the price.

The graphics are pretty great, but the rest of the game is mediocre. This is one of those games that's equally bad and good. Sometimes it's fun, sometimes it's boring. The gameplay is whatever. Enemies seem to be blind most of the time, but there is one really interesting mechanic where you can't just walk into items on the floor like a bucket or a mop, since they will fall over, make sounds and alert the guards. It's clever because like an actual stealth mission you have to avoid walking into items.

There's some amount of verticality in almost every level, which is kind of fun. However, combat is downright crap. Once a guard spots you it's like fighting as a stretchy old man who is drunk and blind. If you get spotted it just feels so bad to fight the guards that you mostly just load an old save.

There's a few smart things like blowing out torches with balls of sand (Which for some reason you can't throw at guards and which are also almost never spotted by said guards) but most of the time the game is very bland. I guess it's in need of a makeover, but it's a teeny bit more fun and boring so I recommend it. Still, don't expect this to be your Deus Ex/Dishonored/Metal Gear Solid of stealth.

It was horrible earlier, apparently. It's fixed now. Worthy title in the Arkham series. Frame rate drops only happen during intense firefights. Everything else is great.

Transistor is a brilliantly amazing game. Amazing combat that fuses real-time and RPG elements, one of the best soundtracks of all time, mesmerizing graphics with a beautiful art style and solid voice acting pack it all into one amazing game. What's best about this game is that it's not made with idiots in mind. The game presumes you are a gamer and have the mindset of one, it expects you to learn quickly and adapt quickly. That really keeps the pace up and keeps the game fun. There's also multiple ways to play in terms of techniques and abilities. The story and the world are very interesting but the ending is quite confusing and worth mulling over. All in all one of the best games of all time in my opinion, simply because of how genius it is. Everything here is amazing.

Do NOT buy this game if you are not one of those old-ass dudes who played the original in arcades. It's clearly made for those fans, because there is NO story at all.

Yep, NO story is ever told. They just show these cool-looking characters and pull up a splash screen with their name and a three-word description, then you get to fighting them.

The game is also VERY VERY BORING. Literally it's just jumping and cutting. That's all you do. There are options for things like a strong downward slash, a kneeling slide, a double jump and summoning animals made of orange plasma, but you do not do any of that fluently in combat because it's impossible to chain combos or attacks. The game also develops slowly in terms of abilities and the same environments and enemies are kept around for too long. On top of that, none of the environments really look stellar. They don't all look the same but they all do look bland, with all of them having pale colours, grey steel and a few people in the background who don't react to you.

All in all, the game severely lacks personality. It's the cookie cutter mold for Metroidvania games these days, without any innovations. Do not buy.
