Aside from the countless other reviews highlighting the performance and bugs of the game, I'd like to focus on the other things that called my attention most.

World
I'm gonna start off by saying that I did not enjoy the world of this game as much as I was hoping to. Night City is eye candy, a beautiful place, sadly that's about it. The game fails to transform that visually pleasant place into something of greater importance. I assume that the lack of a proper AI system, player interactions with the environment and dynamic events to be one of the main reasons for this. This world is not dynamic; it barely reacts to the player and when it does it is in a super basic way which is not believable at all; furthermore there are no dynamic events happening in the world, NPCs are always doing the same actions without much variation. Also the police system -what a joke, you can commit a crime and get a 'bounty' placed on you but it will only last until you lose the police which is kind of how GTA handles the police system, except that the police doesn't even follow you and just spawns behind you when you are on foot. The AI in this game is really basic, something you would expect from a 1990s game.

Story
The story wasn't bad and I enjoyed (somewhat because of bugs) the whole journey. Nevertheless, I didn't like how they handled the ending which you cannot continue playing on the open world afterwards but you have to reload a save file from before you enter the final quest.

I was hoping to play an RPG in a believable futuristic city but that's not what I got. Most mechanics in this game are average and the story is good but the world is the main drawback in this game.

The game presents you with a dilemma regarding the meaning and worth of being conscious/alive.

If your brain is fully scanned down to every atom and then transformed into digital data, will that information still be you? The matter gets even deeper and complicated when this data is simulated by a computer or machine which will "revive" you. Will that 2nd you still be conscious? He will surely say yes if you ask him, but how can you be so sure that he can perceive the world the same way the flesh version of you is perceiving it. Even more intriguing, if we accept the idea that our brains can be represented by information, that we ourselves are just a construct of living matter (cells) carrying that information, wouldn't you say that the person inside the simulation is the same as the one outside except rendered alive by different means? There is no way to know for certain if that 2nd "you" still experiences what you call consciousness, heck, you cannot even know for certain if the people around you are conscious, you can only infer it by what they tell you. But if a robot or machine capable of self-realization and questioning tells you that he experiences the same as what every other human in the planet does, will you doubt that he is conscious?

Without getting too philosophical here I just want to tell you that this game will throw at you dilemmas and choices that will impact you, making you reflect about life in a way not achieved by any game I've played before. That is the horror of this game, not the gameplay, but the plausible reality the story represents.

The story is amazing, the graphics top notch but the performance really leaves a lot to be desired. The game is unstable and really bad optimized. Some areas I can run at 60fps+ but whenever I'm close to trees during the day OR when there are too many light sources at night (as a result of High or Ultra Lightning settings) the fps drops dramatically.

From the 80 hours I've played, the game has crashed at least 25 times, both in single player and online, although online mode is prone to crash more often (I can't play 1 hour of Red Dead Online without getting a crash of some sort).

My advice is that you hold on to your wallet for now, don't spend more than $30 on this game. Wait for a 50% discount or something, since by then hopefully Rockstar fixes this.

For reference:
-Specs-
GPU: Gigabyte RTX 2080 OC Memory OCd to 8000Mhz
CPU: 2700X OCd to 4.25Ghz at 1.37v
Motherboard: X470 Taichi
Monitor Resolution and Refresh rate: 2560x1440 or 1440p at 144hz

-Game Settings-
Mostly high with few settings in Ultra or Medium

Edit:
-I just found out that "Tree Tessellation" tanks the fps while in the forest since it adds geometry to each one of the trees. Keep that setting off!!
-Triple buffering also takes up around 5% of the games performance so I would recommend to keep it off too

November 2020 Edit:
Most performance problems/bugs have been resolved within the time the game has been out. I can now recommend it but only if you are going in for the amazing story, the Online portion is a mess like GTA Online but with way less content.

At its current state I can't recommend it. Tried joinning my friend and it wont do anything, he tried joinning me and the same thing. Also the graphics options reset everytime I get into a match and exit to the main menu.

The game currently has a lot of content so you can expect to invest 100+ hours in it. However, the main reason that Im giving it a negative rating is that the games feels unfinished performance-wise. Simply put not even RTX Titan is able to run this game at a steady 60fps with max settings.

Absolutely not a bad game but playerbase is non existent

*Also, controls have a little bit of input lag, specially WASD (even if you play with controller)

Lets sum up what I've experienced so far, bear in mind that this is just my opinion and it may vary depending on the person. I always recommend to try the game for yourself and if it doesnt meet your expectations theres a refund option on steam.

The gameplay is pretty average, it does not have the feeling of Arma or Insurgency Sandstorm if you are looking for a more realistic Warfare videogame this might not be of your liking. If you come from Battlefield or Call of Duty series then you will probably like this game. The weapons feel sturdy and has some weight to it, kills are really satisfactory with amazing ragdolls and punchy weapons (some gore present too). Vehicles don't feel bad at all and the controls are ok but bear in mind this is not a driving simulator game and most vehicles have that weightless feeling especially ATVs. Controls feel in place and not bad for the kind of fast paced shooter this game is aiming for.

Sadly it currently has Team Deathmatch and Warzone, although some people might like it that way because it concentrates the player base in only those 2 modes making it easier to find a match. Team deathmatch we all know whats it about, the Warzone mode is similar to Domination in Battlefield series with a huge map and the goal is to hold objectives for as long as possible preventing the opposing team to win.

Customization-wise the game offers a pretty good range of options by letting you change the sight, barrel, mag size, muzzle, grip, skin and many more attachments you can customize and edit to get the most out of your weapon. Also you can choose an emblem, voice over, Taunts and other customizables for your soldier.

The sound (in my opinion) is better than the old BF4 or recents COD games. It actually surprises me the amount of detail each weapon has regarding to sound, kudos here.

It's well optimized for Team Deathmatch running at 80+ fps on my current rig with AMD RX480 and an i5 (mid-range hardware) at 1080p in a mix of high and ultra settings. Altought it needs some work in huge maps like the ones present in Warzone mode averaging around 50fps.

The game is pretty solid with minor non-intrusive bugs that can be ignored, I would definitvely recommend you to try it out and see for yourself.

This game is totally different from the current vision you have on Battle Royal games in general; Yes, you have to survive, and Yes, you also have to kill everyone (or escape). But what is different here are the mechanics of the game and the game itself actually, if you've played Dying Light you will love this one.
First, you have to collect samples until you reach lvl5 and get to the helicopter (if someone else gets to lvl5 first you have to finish him or them). I see more overall strategy in this game since you can be waiting on the top of a roof for someone to finish off a zombie plague and then jumping over them and taking the samples. Overall this game is pretty good, and I would totally recommend it.

PS: there are a few hundreds players playing this game and no, it doesnt take forever to load into a game. For me it takes 45 sec average matchmaking and waiting in the lobby until it starts.

Fun game to play with friends a few hours, but as of today it needs more content. I'll change my review as soon as they add more content.

I'm not saying its a bad game because I see it has potential

Update October 2020:
As of today, the game has enough content to deserve my recommendation. The devs have been working hard since its release date back in 2018. From fauna to better island generation, the numerous updates over the years have given it life and even the story is more interesting than ever.
