Somewhat boring, far too challenging without resorting to cheating, and too short of a campaign with a very vague plot.

A game like this shouldn't have a story. When you attempt to add one, it is lame and annoying.

Portalarium is just a bunch of scammers who run off with the money and don't deliver on promises.

It's a decent time occupier. Takes several hours to complete the whole thing, though there's really not much new content as you progress - just different "leaders" to attempt to force different play styles and different "monsters" for one game mode if you want to unlock everything. For less than the price of a movie ticket, it's well worth it. Also worth a few bucks to point out that Linux games do in fact have a market.

In the small amount I played, there were no options, just do this, do that, then do the other thing. Complete linearity with no choice involved makes a visual novel, not a game.

Quite repetitive once you've played the first few missions and get into a play style, unless you die and then have to rework your style with your new character's starting weapons. Yet, I keep on playing it, so clearly the repetitiveness isn't a big problem.

Quite short (finished it in a few hours tonight having just bought it), but worth the money. Might play through it another time or two just to try to get better stats.

I suck at these games and usually get stuck by the fourth level or so (planet in this case), but the levels before that are fun to do, so + anyway :)

Software: Steam is extremely disappointingly lacking in split-screen games that can be played on the link with two controllers. So far the ONLY game I've found that works for multiplayer on the Link is Oh Sir Insult Simulator. So many of these games support split screen on consoles and desktop, and yet cannot be run split-screen on the Link. This is a major shortcoming. Why would I want to play on my TV by myself, when I can just use my desktop and have access to everything else that I don't on my TV while I play?

Hardware: It "sleeps" too often. Once it does, it won't come back unless power is reset. I have to go dig it out from behind my TV and unplug and replug the power cable. It needs a power switch to turn off and on, or to at least default to never sleep. Also the 1080p limitation is rather annoying when I have a 55" 4k TV.

Early Access Review
Still plenty of bugs, but a great start so far. The UI alone is already leaps and bounds better than RCT3.
