Early Access Review
It's a good game, the combat is really satisfying and it has a quick ramp in difficulty and gradual variation in biome, music, gear, skills, monsters, bosses and playstyles.

The artwork really carries it all. It is absolutely mesmerizing to look at. I want to pause to look at the background for lengths at a time, they definitely have some amazing talent on the art team!

Totally worth the price. The game keeps getting updates that add these wonderful changes that keep you wanting to play. It's easy to get lost in time.

Drink in the beginning of this game. It blew me away.
And after many terrifying and brutally gripping sequences, it suddenly dawns on you that you've reached, well, the loop.
Your enjoyment probably'll start sinking somewhat here, but if you stick through it, you will find what you like best about the grind, and it weighs in a lot of satisfaction due to amazing sound and visuals, as well as great control and movement.
The action is so instantly fulfilling when you first get into an activity, but this game still leaves something to be desired, and I can't help but point the blame at that end-game loop.
I could do without having to do the doings and the repeating doings of the doings.

it's like they removed the good parts of civ 5 and slapped a designer pricetag on it

Don't buy it. Terrible economy model, pay-to-pay-to-win structure, drawn out gameplay where a strong start will decide the match. Man do I regret the purchase.
I'm guessing it'll be free in a couple of months anyways. What an awful money leak.
You'll have to be totally committed and put money into this for it to feel even remotely fair or fun.
Play literally any other free-to-play card game if you're looking to have fun without paying your way to the top.

The gameplay mechanics are fresh and interesting, but the economy spoils any potential enjoyment. Get ready to lose!

Early Access Review
I played the hell outta Original Sin 1, then Enhanced Edition. I thought I had found my favourite game that couldn't be topped, and I'm sitting here playing an early access version of the sequel, and it's blowing my mind.
It's so good. I don't know just how to put it into words, but I'll try.
The graphics, though they were smooth in the original, feel so much more majestic and epic this time around.
Especially during battles, there were odd quirks and holdups in the original game, however with the sequel, that's all smooth and feels so fluid and rewarding.
One thing I loved about the original was the way you interacted with the environment during battle, and this has been elevated by a lot. They added a bunch of new magical environmental effects that can be created during battle - but I won't spoil these, because discovering them made me so excited.
Basically I'm like a child in a candystore while playing this game. Make sure you start playing this game with a lot of time, because when you check your watch, it'll be 5 hours later.
Dialogue is as always on point. Game makes you feel smart, because you want to make smart choices.
I don't know how Larian does it.
I give this game a ∞/10

Fallout 4 is a good game. But 37 hours later, I'm burnt out, and I don't see myself coming back to it for a long while.
If you're the kind of person who buys a lot of games, play them for a while, then never play them again, I'd think this one through for a little bit, considering it's on the pricey side.

I won't write a novel of a review for this, anything else you can get from other players!

This game is everything I love about video games. It's extremely engaging and a game that is enjoyed best with friends. You will start strategizing, planning out, and manuvering about how to make the best of a situation. You have complete freedom to do whatever it is you want, and your actions actually matter.
The writing is as strong as the gameplay. Since the actions you take have real impactful outcomes, you will pay attention to what people are saying, which makes you really focused on the awesome quests there are. This game doesn't dumb anything down. It expects a lot of you. It's challenging, but never impossible. Being able to make the environment a strategic part of a fight feels natural and fun, and you will miss the combat system once you play other RPGs.
You will want more, you will want to know what happens to the NPCs, you will want to defeat that boss, you will want to play this game all the time. Enjoy it while it's fresh. Take your time.
Personally, it's my GoTY. There's no shame in recreating your characther after a while. I've restarted countless times, and I experience the game differently each time.
It's the best game I've played. I wouldn't think twice about reccommending it to anyone who loves strategy and classic-style RPGs. Or anyone.
