Unique fish-like platforming, a striking hand-drawn art style, and chill procedurally generated music. Definitely at least play the free Prologue. I wish there were a few more gimmicks to the levels, but the game is so short that it's not a huge issue. A fun 90 minutes or so.

An extremely high quality action RPG. Heartwarming characters, an interesting setting, great combat, lots of satisfying puzzles. A huge number of optional jumping puzzles. It's a nice game to chill with; I spent a lot of time running around the zones figuring out how to get to chests behind force fields or on top of high platforms.

There are extensive accessibility options; I probably wouldn't have been able to complete the game without slowing the speed of the puzzle mechanics or lowering boss damage towards the end.
If I have a complaint, it's that the game maybe could have used an editor in places; a little tightening up. Slightly shorter dungeons, a few less puzzles... and definitely fewer banked trick shots.

Launch was rocky, but the game is quite playable now. Solid open world shenanigans. Not particularly innovative, but it's well put together and doesn't waste your time. If you enjoy Assassin's Creed Odyssey but wish that it had more robot dinosaurs, this might be for you.

This is a lower-budget, small scale tactics take on XCOM with all the downtime stripped out. Much heavier focus on story and characterization than previous titles. Missions are short and snappy, characters have interesting abilities, and there is so much banter. The last time I had this many quipping aliens in my party, I was playing Mass Effect.

It has a lighter tone and friendlier game play than the XCOMs of yore, and I find it a lot more endearing.

This is the best arcade racing game on PC in quite a while. The handling is fun and the track layouts are interesting. There are a bunch of great tracks and ships in the workshop as well. Unfortunately, the game has a pretty steep difficulty curve. The slowest speed rank is manageable, but the campaign starts throwing faster ranks at you early on. I've played for hours but still can't place on the time trials in the second chapter of the campaign. My other caveat is that the multiplayer is direct IP only (and I hear this is unlikely to change). People organize races on the Discord server a few times a week, but don't expect dedicated servers or a matchmaking button.

Still well worth it for custom races and tracks, even if I'll probably never clear the campaign.

Scout areas, fight monsters, and wear them as hats. An absolutely lovely game.

Fun game! The portable origins are apparent, but it's solid; I enjoyed the combat here more than the combat in Final Fantasy XV.

Oh, and it finally works on Windows 10 again.

An instant classic right up there with Super Mario 64. The best 3D platformer on Steam.

Made by a single developer, this is the Earthbound of 2015. Undertale messes with the player's expectations of the genre in entertaining ways while also being a solid lightweight RPG on it's own merits. You'll laugh. You'll cry. Everyone should try it.

This is a bad game. I'll enumerate.

1. Bad physics. Sonic loses all momentum immediately as soon as you release a directional key. Ducking into a roll decelerates instead instead of uncapping your max velocity.

2. Broken physics. Sonic clips through springs. He also won't ride moving platforms downward; he is in mid air as soon as the platform begins it's descent.

3. Inconsistent application of the rules. In the last zone Sonic can walk on giant gears to move them, but he falls off as soon as he revs on them. Sometimes the lock on system just won't lock on.

4. Art design. It's occasionally difficult to tell if something is a platform or just a decorative doodad in the foreground. It's kinda ugly, too; there isn't even any AA.

5. Level design. One level has pistons that slam upward into spikes. They have a longish cycle no indication that they're about to activate. If you see them, you have to slam to a stop and wait for them to activate before proceding. Another level sees Sonic speeding along in pitch darkness, carrying a torch that illuminates the ground three feet in front of him. I haven't even mentioned the puzzles. Why are there puzzles in a Sonic game?

Avoid avoid avoid.
