In Universe Sandbox you basically have all planets, stars and galaxies " in the palms of your hands " so to speak. You can create your own worlds or play with existing presets. I like that you can change the values of each object, for example making the sun too hot which results in the planets basically disappearing.

A downside is the lack of visual effects. You can change the mass of a planet, but it still looks the same. When things collide there are zero particles, so if you look away for a second you won't even notice that a collision happened.

A rather challenging tactical FPS shooter. Kinda surprised I didn't try this game out back in the day, but it's never too late.

Story

A neofascist organization is on the loose, led by a guy named Gospic. The leader is dying from cancer and he wants to send a last message to the world by taking as many lives as he can. As if taking hostages and threatening to bomb many different locations around the world wasn't enough, he is also in possession of chemical weapons which he plans to use publicly but also in foods.

Gameplay

The gameplay is my favorite part of the game. Before each mission there's a briefing that kinda gives you an idea of what to expect, but then you got the team room and planning room which in my opinion are must have's for any tactical shooter. To sum these two up, you can basically choose which operatives/ weapons you want to deploy for the mission ( there is a big variety of them, multinational too ) but also the amount of them. I like that you can dispatch up to 3 squads, so that means 12 operatives for a mission that you can control at any time. However once an operative dies, that's it. They will be dead for the rest of the campaign. It is a nice little realistic detail. The planning room allows you can create a pathway, in other words how to navigate through each level.

Some missions have a special condition such as neutralizing the enemies before they detonate a bomb or kill any hostages. The fact that there are no saves or checkpoints makes it more difficult but also immersive as you gotta be focused during the whole mission.

The AI is saddly not so balanced but it is to be expected from such an old game. Like, sometimes they are either insanely stupid or too damn good.

I think " Expansion " - not just as a product but the word itself - perfectly suits this as it is not a sequel, but more of the first game.

Story
(no spoilers)
After escaping the disaster at the Origin facilities, the F.E.A.R. team is forced to do an emegency landing. The main objective is to reach the extraction point that was set up by SFOD Delta, however you somehow lose contact with them. On top of that the Replicas are somehow awakened from their dormant state so escaping won't be that easy.

There isn't really anything that adds to the story of the main game, but there a few creepy moments that leave a lot of question marks.

Gameplay

I feel like this one's a bit more difficult than the previous game. Enemies have better placement and are a bit faster too. There's also a couple of new enemies as well as new weapons. A few small things were added such as bashing doors open by using melee and supply crates. Environmental destruction is increased. Other than that it plays pretty much the same as the first game.

Other

In my opinion the creepy moments in this one are a bit weirder, maybe even depressing. I was also hoping that the campaign would last a little longer.

Loved the original which still holds up even today, but this improves it even further.

- Textures look better, reflections are more accurate and the image quality has been improved overall ( it is slightly less blurry than the original).
- The cars sound better.
- Photo mode has been improved.
- They added wrap customization similar to the newer NFS games. Wasn't expecting this one actually.
- Also, this is probably the most fun I've had than in any online racing game. Thanks to crossplay you can still find players to play with, but I think crossplay overall is brilliant because it brings the gaming community closer, regardless of platform.
- More cars have been added.

It's lazy as they didn't do an extra voice over for the female character, plus you don't get to choose any of the characters unless you beat the campaign.

Only recommend it on deep discount.

The game itself is great but buying it here for the full price isn't. For 60€ you only get half of the weapons which is absurd. However I had a blast playing this game and will probably put a few more hours in it.

Story

After the victory in Africa, Karl is dispatched to Italy to continue his fight against he nazis. Once again the main mission is to stop them from producing a mass murdering product, this time it's guided rockets. However one faction isn't enough to stop them so the allies end up having to consort with the Partisans as well as the Italian mafia.

Gameplay

Many things have been improved for the gameplay but there are still issues. You can now sprint while crouched and there are more possibilities for climbing and sneaking. Stealth is not perfect but definitely better than the previous game where the " hide in bushes " didn't work. However you can only hide in specific bushes which kinda sucks as there is enough vegetation in the levels that provides enough cover visually, however the enemies will still see through it and shoot you. Another issue is that (sometimes) if an enemy sees you, the flare guy will automatically fire a flare at your exact location from the other side of the level which isn't really realistic. I doubt they had the technology back in the 1943 to communicate telepathically like that.

SMG's are finally useful at a further range but like I said in the start of my review, half of the weapons are locked as DLC.

Other

This is by far my favorite game in the series but I wish they would stop locking game content as DLC. Cosmetics/ Skins are fine, guns and maps aren't. I would also like to add that Sniper Elite 4 looks amazing even today. Some of the best graphics I have seen in a while.

NFS : Hot Pursuit is a remake of NFS 3 (1998) with more and newer cars, as well as new gameplay features and stunning graphics. However it still perserves the feel of speed, handling and atmosphere of the original. So basically an oldschool driving experience re-imagined. I like how it keeps things simple just like racing games used to be. There is no story or unnecessary dialogues. Choose an event from the map, pick your car and the race starts. Ideal for those who don't want to drive from a safehouse to an event. There is however the option for free roam driving ( or open world if you wanna call it that ).

In this one you also get to drive both as a street racer and a police officer which is good for variety. The police cars are crazy by the way, you get to drive Lamborghinis and other hypercars as a cop. This is also surprisingly ( in my opinion ) one of the fastest Need for Speed games, and what I mean by that is that you get to drive at over 350kph for minutes during races.

Some negatives : Despite the good handling mechanics the game is saddly locked at 60 fps, which means a lot of input delay. So expect to have a few accidents if you aren't used to playing like that.

2. Every time you hit an opponent with a spike strip or crash your car you are forced to see a mini-cutscene of 5 seconds where you aren't controlling your car during a race and it kinda annoys me.

While Left 4 Dead is a horror themed game, it isn't necessarily scary. I would say the atmosphere is rather a little comical and not so much dramatic. Its gameplay is fun and straight to the point. So that means no classes or complicated upgrade menus, just simple mindless fun and a well made linear campaign. There isn't much variety when it comes to weapons, but the ones you got are enough to get the job done. I like that you can also play as the zombies in the " versus " mode, a pretty unique idea compared to other zombie games of its time. Don't know what else to say, this game has definitely inspired many other titles of the same genre.

It's basically recycled content from Flatout 2 but with some small graphic improvements. Half of the tracks and cars are the same, and the piss filter has been decreased. Apart from that the reflections look better than the previous games. And I still don't understand why they add the confederate flag in a game about cars. They could at least remove it since the game was recently patched. Racist bastards.

This has become a classic when it comes to combat racing games. Its innovative gameplay is what made the franchise popular, this was the first combat racing game for many gamers back in the day. Unlike the sequels this one has mostly off-road racing and old muscle cars ( that look like as if someone took from a junkyard and repaired them ). The tracks are actually identical to rally, so it is basically a rally race with muscle cars ramming each other to the finish line. It's kinda funny because the overall aesthetic of the cars and tracks give the picture of an official championship or something, except that drivers are allowed to destroy each other's cars. The destruction physics are still impressive, you can see many parts of the car coming off the more it gets smashed which is still impressive. You can also play bonus levels which are basically stunts where you can throw the driver from the front window, another original idea never seen in another racing game. And of course there is also an ass kicking soundtrack that perfectly fits.
