There's ~20 hours of content in the game atm. It's already fun but the early access is still noticable mostly in the amount of content.

The Game is actually in quite an enoyable state as of now

It's unfair to compare it to Eu4 which had more than a decade of DLCs and Updates, but, especially for a paradox launch, quite a fun game already!

It's like Slay the Spire but with turn based strategy elements; not *that* much content as of yet, but what is there is really really fun!

I happend to be a fun game, but that was quite a long time ago. You basically can't play minor nations like france anymore because you pay 12k silverlion just to repair them once...

My feelings on this game are kind of mixed. Yes, it is already quite fun to play around with the very detailed economic system and the unique way in which you reform and organize your goverment. However there are still, atleast right now, large features and quality of life improvement missing.

I personally found waging war not once fun or even more difficult than trying to get a few good generals, then clicking the "mobilize" button and then praying your weapon-supply does not get booged down.
Right now, I do not know if I will ever be able to enjoy combat in this game, because all systems regarding this non-irrelevant aspect of the game are both unintuitive and obscure for me as a player to understand.

Diplomacy is also often lackluster since you will quite often find yourself in situations in which you will just not be able to do a very straight forward diplomatic action like demanding more than one primary wargoal. Yes, while their roadmap does luckily include this as a thing they "wish" to add, right now it can and will happen to you (atleast it did mutiple times to me) that you will prepare an invasion, mobilize your troops at quite a financial cost, just to have the other side back down at the last second so you would only get 1/5 demands granted. It's just sad....

I really, really want to like the game and I actually think the managed a great feat when you think of the economic systems, which are in my opion the heart of the game, but until they succesfully add the updates they promised on their roadmap I can't recommend it to a general audience.

Clearly still in development, but overall already a playable, fun and importantly more modern version of the Wargame franchise. If you haven't played Wargame: Red Dragon yet it might be worth trying that one out first, since this titel will still take some more time until it is polished.

Regarding the early access, it seems the game devs communicate rather well with the players and although they are having a few rescheduling issues (toward artillery will, unfortunately, be delayed) they are honest and try to provide other roadmap promises (ATGM teams will be available by the next patch) instead!

Hard, but rewarding. Basically requires a controller.
