WARNO - LANDJUT

WARNO - LANDJUT expansion takes WARNO’s sweeping wildfire that is World War III and brings it to Denmark. In our 1989 timeline, the Warsaw Pact invades both the Jutland peninsula and the Zealand islands in a multi-pronged land, amphibious, and airborne strategic offensive, while NATO’s LANDJUT command rushes in reinforcements, from U.S. Marines to West German panzergrenadiers, to stem the communist assault.

Part of the offensive sees East German, Soviet, and Polish units advance through northern West Germany and Schleswig-Holstein to cover the flank of a subsequent invasion of Denmark. On the other hand, Polish and East German amphibious forces land on Zealand, as well as the remote Bornholm, with furious fighting ensuing between the invading troops and local Danish territorial and NATO units.

WARNO - LANDJUT will bring 8 new Divisions to WARNO, playable in Skirmish and Multiplayer, with one brand-new nation, Denmark.

The renowned U.S. Marine Corps reinforces the Danish front lines, from the LAV-AT ATGM carrier, AAVP-7A1 amphibious armored vehicles, to “Oorah” MARINE rifle squads, and the Top Gun-famous F-14A Tomcat.

This Danish Armed Forces’ main combat formation would be one of the first to fight, going to battle with some of the best equipment the small nation had to offer. This includes LEOPARD 1A5-DK, the FENNEC helicopter and F-16A.

A territorial command tasked with defending not only Copenhagen, but the whole of Zealand, this Hjemmeværnet-composed battlegroup fields everything from CENTURION Mk.5/1 battle tanks to MD JUPITER heavy trucks, Home Guard infantry, F35 Draken and even World War II-vintage M10 ACHILLES tank destroyers.

This oversized mechanized Bundeswehr division was tasked with defending the West German approaches to Denmark in Schleswig-Holstein. It features a unique mix of armaments such as the older LEOPARD 1A1A2, DO-28D-2 recon plane, and Bundesmarine troops, including KAMPFSCHWIMMER and STRANDMEISTER naval infantry.

The Soviet Naval Infantry, while relatively small within the Soviet Army, was well-trained and highly motivated. The division can count on the “Black Death” MORSKAYA PEKHOTA naval infantry, backed by unique materiel such as the 2S9-1 SVIRISTELKA 120mm assault gun, Tu-22 in a carpet bomber role, Ka-29 helicopters, as well as specialized T-55AMD main battle tank.

Major New Update

Next to the release of WARNO - LANDJUT, we’ve also made a major update available to all owners of WARNO for free. This update brings, amongst other things, the much-requested artillery rework and a host of other improvements.
Speaking of the rework, a quick note on packing-up time: although we previously said the delay would be the same for all artillery, our live testing led us to make one exception. Mortars will have a shorter packing-up time, as they are the most exposed units, operating very close to the frontline.
