THIS is how you do everything right.
• Great story: classic and maybe a bit cliche, but well written, short and to the point, and has the feels.
• Fun gameplay: again, classic, but well executed, with the right amount of difficulty. I love watching the CS I never skip.
• Awesome music: maybe a bit canned in places, but the vast majority is spot on and exciting.
• Good pixel graphics: maybe not great, but good enough to bring the nostalgia feels back, and to really enjoy the view.
It has everything a good SJRPG should have. Grinding isn't a chore, but something you have to win to do. There's a LOT here in terms of strategy and building your teams, but it's not overwhelming and it's pretty easy to understand. I played through Skyborn when it first came out, and as good as it was, Dancing Dragon has not stopped making their games better and learning what works. Stop reading this and just buy it.
