Don't trust reviews saying "crashes all the time", "won't boot", "crashes on launcher". if you follow the simple provided steps to run the game (e.g. run it in compatibility mode for win7/8) you'll have no problem, even after upgrading to windows 11 it runs perfectly fine on a fresh install, anyone having issues is having localized system issues and it doesn't represent the actual perfectly playable state of the game.

I've personally only experienced a 2-3 of crashes after 18 hours of play which could also be eliminated by simply installing the unofficial patch mod which fixes almost all of Fallout 3's bugs, the only issue you may have on a modern system is the radio glitching, which is caused by out of date codex formats most likely and can be fixed by installing a radio mod or something similar.

All-in-all, it's a great game even after 14 years, it has simple bugs here and there that are easily fixed, and anyone having issues/review bombing because of issues either doesn't possess basic IT knowledge to solve the issue, or has a localized problem they're refusing to agknowledge.

Ngl, Mirror's Edge Catalyst was more fun, I'm disappointed after over a decade of waiting for the board games i played as a kid being brought to life, then having them be this absolutely bland in a video game. Jesus Christ, i thought CDPR was a trusted studio, well if Night City taught Me and V anything, it's not to trust anyone, even CDPR.

Update is trash, promised community features never delivered, new content in its place, This is a great game, however grind and lack of features in Red Dead Online paired with terrible new updates to milk cash out of players, lead to its downfall in a lot of places. Lack of solo play options or possy lobbies, an emphasis on gold purchases and content exclusively available to purchase with gold, along with a scarce amount of gold available to earn without microtransactions.

No graphics options but that's not the killer surprisingly, the list of issues below are what killed the game for me and i'll only ever play it again when i'm REALLY drunk to laugh at it.

First 5 minutes of my experience:

Cursor disappears during the tutorial leaving me stuck in a menu.
Reboot game.
Go to my house, Crash.
Reboot game.
Go to the park, Crash.
Reboot game.
Load into park and try to go to my house, Server disconnected.
Booted to main menu.
Buy a house thinking my original one had some issue.
Try to travel to new house, Crash.
Reboot game.
Load into my new house.
Try to change my clothes, Crash.

Identity has less bugs than this, I'm amazed that i'm actually considering paying for that over this terrible, terrible game.

WHY IS LEFT SHIFT ZOOM IN AND RIGHT SHIFT ZOOM OUT, WHY. AND WHY AM I GETTING CONTROLLER SPECIFIC TUTORIALS IN THE PC VERSION, YOU LAZY, LAZY DEVS.

This game isn't worth a fiver as it stands never mind the 24 quid it charges, the next "module" is planned for next year and people are expected to make do for an entire year with a broken town square, a broken voice chat feature and broken apartments with pointless customization that resets when you leave the room. get this actual scam of a game off steam and stop giving a bad reputation to early access games you horrible developers. the devs should've stuck to running arma servers because they evidently can't make games. also forget that "it's an early acces game what do you expect" attitude, they had 4 years and over a million dollars to make what they had now, and ended up having the first release come out years behind schedule with less content than a 2 week college project.

I drag myself along the coast scavanging the houses for what little supplies they have, finding a sporter rifle and a few consumables i exit the abode and start to head along a dirt track, it is then when i notice a man behind me, he approaches me and i am quick to draw my unloaded rifle, but he calls my bluff, another man appears from the bushes nearby and we begin conversation. doggo and Squirrely they called themselves, they were the self proclaimed "good guys" and were willing to help me out, little did i know the chain of events to follow would be more than just helpful.

ACT I: Agressions To The North

We gathered our supplies and headed out, north to a small farming village where we gathered a fair amount of weapons but alas ammo was scarce. upon leaving the village we start to crack jokes and have a laugh to pass time, soon we come across a desolate gas station, the following events initiated the storm of bad luck. as we enter the gas station Squirrely supposedly spotted a "ghillie sniper" on the hill north of us, however, me and Doggo both brushed it of as a boy crying wolf. there was indeed a sniper of that hill, before me and Doggo could react the sniper popped a crack shot out of his mosin right into the back of Squirrely's skull. with no ammo and the threat of another shot me and Doggo departed quickly, running from fire with only a single chambered shot in Doggos defense. we stopped a few miles east to gather our bearings, this initiates the next act.

ACT II: The lone Ghillie Sniper

After a while we heard from Squirrely, he reportedly spawned on the east coast and was eager to regroup and resupply with me and Doggo, he came across a baron ship where he met a lone ghillie sniper who at first attempted to rob the newly spawned Squirrely, but later apologized and gave Squirrely his Hunters Pants as an apology, the now pantsless Ghillie Sniper then took of into the wilderness, never to be seen or heard from again. on the other side of the coin me and Doggo were making decent progress toward the northeast, finding ammo and more powerful weapons we where ready to fight any dangers in our path, and the danger soon presented itself with the next act beginning here.

ACT III: Taking Hostages

Squirrely reported not long after his encounter with the lone ghillie sniper, he reported that he had been kidnapped and was restrained inside a church in the town of Svetlojarsk. me and Doggo devised a plan to rescue Squirrely, it would require sound tactics, pinpoint accuracy and finesse. we made our way to Svetlojarsk and set ourselves up to attack, i positioned myself outside of the church while Doggo decided to shoot long range from a 3 story bulding across the street, we waited for Squirrely to convince the kidnappers to open the church doors for some "fresh air", the minute they opened the door we attacked, 2 shotgun shells flew straight into the church, killing Squirrely and incapacitating one kidnapper, the other kidnapper was swiftly domed by Doggo from across the street. sadly the hostage rescue was a failure due to my glorious buckshot spread but we still had gear to sort out so on to the next chapter.

ACT IV: Explosive Tendencies

After evaluating the situation, we geared up from the dead kidnappers and were preparing to hold down the fort until Squirrely arrived, but before we could set up positions we were interrupted by a man outside chanting "Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar" over and over again, i was baffled at first but was quickly overcome with fear as he opened the church door, Doggo put an end to his life and was moving to close the church door when the bomb went off, a huge explosion errupted from the unknown mans body and killed both me and Doggo, a deep silence was present after the explosion, probably in awe of what just happened.

Conclusion: What A Game.
You probably won't have this experience, but if you're on a full server and meet some really friendly dudes, you'll have a memorable time my dude.
