It is a turn based strategy game where you command a band of mercenaries taking jobs throughout a low-magic medieval world. Start off scumming it taking whatever job you think will pay more than it will cost, over time if you survive your group earns renown and eventually royal families will start offering missions. Over time a crisis will occur from a couple few, like civil war, or orc invasion and it is really up to you how much you interact these event, but fully ignoring them will be difficult. I included it in the rougelikes because the world is procedurally generated every time and it is very much a game of learning how mechanics work to battle a little better. The combat is kind of Fire Emblem-ish where it is all on hex(I think its hex, they aren’t squares). It's pretty fun.
