Honestly, the most disappointing thing about the game is that it ends, and I don't know if there's higher praise I can give a game. Some stuff can be a bit weird or awkward, but even then, by the end of playing this it's probably one of my favorite games I've played, and puts a lot of other turn based games like it to shame.

The game shines in perfecting the things it does right, and while it does certainly have flaws, many of those flaws are simply due to the definition of how the game type works, rather than any fault of the game itself. Sometimes battles can be a bit slow, but that's just how these work, and it's much better pacing than many others.

The story and characters are very good, and learning more about them over time feels natural, rather than being stuffed in some corner of menus and just having to read it all at once, though it is still heavy on reading.
I didn't play it on the high difficulty, and that meant that while there was still challenge, I never found myself too frustrated, though some bosses could feel a bit unfair, sometimes it's just about figuring out the right way to do it.

I'm not going to true-ending it, because... well yes that's certainly a flaw that it's annoying to true ending, can't skip dialog (to my knowledge) and such, but if the main problem with a game is that it's not great for true ending after having already loved it the first time, then I feel like that's proof of a game that's certainly worth playing at least once through.

Look, the game is lovely, and I'd be more than willing to shower it with praise, but the simple truth is that you probably already know if it's something you'd like from the simple phrase "dialog-heavy turn-based tactic game." The art is good, the story is good, the gameplay is good, the only reason not to love it is if it's simply the type of game you'd never like.

This is one of very few games I'd ever consider going 100% on... but the fact that I DID go 100% on it should very well show how much I love this. There's one word really that needs to be said to explain this game:

"Attitude"

From the movement to the music everything flows together and nothing feels weird, it's a lovely experience that I'd recommend, even as someone who really ISN'T a fan of platformers.

I could go on, but there's better ways to know if YOU want this game.

Go here for Nitro Rad's review, who is the reason I came here myself.
And if you're still not sure about anything, ask me anytime, I'm willing to vouch for this game above any other.
