I used no-life MMOs but now mainly focus on playing single player story games/social games with friends.

5+ years learning Japanese (trash level fluent). Learning a language to begin with and getting this far has made me appreciate how useful my brain can be, it has really helped me heaps mentally, I wouldn't like to think where I'd be today if I didn't try it out. (if you know me already, just use your imagination)
So yeah, I really recommend trying it out. And if you want to get serious about it, I recommend the immersion approach to learning languages.
