Early Access Review
This game may be the "Best" dinosaur game, but this is only due to lack of competition, the game mechanics are sometimes really fun but there are soo many flaws that this game is just not in an enjoyable state, yet for some reason I continue to play.

One of the main game mechanics is age, when you die you spawn as a baby that in comparison to adults, is incredibly weak and easy to kill, growing takes hours and one death can set you back 6 hours of progress. Then you get the joys of...

Fall damage

Massive fall damage causing instant death from small falls that really shouldn't be killing anything, as I am currently posting this the devs are making a update to add sliding down hills instead of making a fix to the raw damage, we must wait months for an update.

The Bugs

Every other patch I've seen deployed has completely broken the game, caused repeated crashes, not just on my machine but just randomly while playing getting people killed.
Server errors that after update killed all official servers repeatably crashing the servers over and over for days.
Completely breaking community servers
Being randomly unable to eat, drink or interact with anything
Being unable to eat food that is too close to other food (Really easy to do anytime you kill something)
Always saying servers are full
Random unable to join servers

We have a running joke in my server of, they have updated the game, time to find out if the game is playable today ;(

This game has been out for 10 years, and the devs clearly cannot move in one direction, every time they add a new feature, mechanic or dino they break something else and have to go back.

I am ok with the game in it's current state and do enjoy it's gameplay loop, however I would much prefer this game to have some real competition so I can play that instead :)

Early Access Review
Now this is really something special. It's very rare for a game to come out without being a broken mess so when i watched trailers I didn't expect the game to be as good as it was advertised but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ this is fun. I'm going to go over all the aspects of this game with some key points.

AI Running away

When breaching or shouting, there is a small chance that the AI will ignore commands and run into another room. There has been multiple times a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hostage has ran away from me, through a door and into a room filled with enemies. It would make sense that they may run into a empty room or hide in a corner but it's really annoying watching AI run within a foot of you and then out the room. Not only that but I've had them open a door, then an enemy has shot me through the door the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hostage has opened.

Friendly AI

Overall friendly AI is ♥♥♥♥, they bug out all the time, get stuck, refuse to open doors, just all sorts of buggy behaviour, if i play solo now i just tell them to wait in spawn cause i find dealing with them too frustrating.

Weapons

All the weapons in this game feel really good to use and fire and use but there needs to be some more customisation with the guns, some of the maps are massive so not having something like a 2x or a 4x scope can make it much more difficult. Also having some attachments for the riot shield would be soo nice, making it like taller or have stronger glass or a way of changing the glass so you can see again through it would go a long way.

Doors

When interacting with a door, it can be really easy to open the door instead of kicking or vice versa, idk how they wanna fix that but it can be frustrating.

Door wedges

In the description it says you get 4x door wedges when you really get something like 6 really confuses me, also when removing door wedges you should really get them back instead of them just vanishing into the abyss.

Ammo

In some missions you can literally run out of ammo, some sort of ammo box or maybe being able to chose how much ammo you bring in.

Levels not ending

Sometimes there is like a side objective that you haven't done and the mission refuses to finish, like there being a civilian that's hiding somewhere or Intel you haven't gathered, but building is clear, no one wants to play hide and seek with a civ so you should just be able to end it when all the hostiles are killed or secured.

Beanbag shotgun

For some reason shooting someone in the head with a beanbag shotgun is considered excessive force, but using a normal shotgun and blowing the brains across the room isn't, like tf?

C2 or sleeping gas vent that you could put under a door
