Welcome to the official World of Padman group on Steam

From the earliest PadMaps came the mod PadWorld, followed by the next colourful evolution, the World of Padman. Developed and headed by cartoonist and illustrator ENTE, PadWorld Entertainment presents a free ware fun shooter for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux, that’s powered by an extended id-Tech3 graphics engine based on the source of ioquake3.

♥♥♥ is the domain of ENTE’s comic strip super-hero Padman and his motley crew. It’s their mission to make your game with some seriously addictive fun, whatever your skill level and whatever character role you jump into.

Over the years maps have been revamped, bots improved, killerducks kept hungry, weapons re-polished and much more, such as new sounds, skins, secrets, effects, and powerups! In all, there are 24 maps. Each supports up to 7 game modes, comprising ♥♥♥’s unique Spray Your Color (Team), Last Pad Standing, Big Balloon and of course Capture The Lolly, as well as those old favourite Free For All (Team). Meet scaled-up and richly detailed maps of everyday places where imaginative characters go berserk with an array of colourful plastic weaponry and power-ups. Start rockin’ to the soundtrack of Dieselkopf and Neurological soundtrack and the Pad-Anthem, performed by Green Sun. So grab your earphones.

World of Padman 1.6.2 released!

World of Padman 1.6.2 is available for download as unified ZIP[www.moddb.com] for Windows, Linux and MacOSX and as Windows installer[www.moddb.com]. If you already have ♥♥♥ installed, it is sufficient to download the patch release[www.moddb.com]. The patch requires at least ♥♥♥ 1.5 and must be unpacked directly into the existing installation directory, whereby the overwriting of some files is to be confirmed. The full release does not require an installed previous version of ♥♥♥. For Windows you can also use full version installer. In the meantime, we are also officially represented in the Snap Store[snapcraft.io], which should make our Linux users happy.

If you want to play a round of World of Padman now, you can directly visit our PadWorld server (168.119.185.219:27960) with the new version. The next Padday will be next week on Sunday, the second Advent, starting at 7:00 pm (CET), for which you should have the new version installed in any case. And finally, we would like to thank our beta testers, who really supported us during the development of ♥♥♥ 1.6.1/2 and gave us a lot of feedback. Thank you very much!

Yes, you have read correctly! World of Padman is now available for download in version 1.6.1 as a unified ZIP for the three operating systems Windows, Linux and MacOS. If you already have ♥♥♥ installed, it is sufficient to download the 110 MB patch release[www.moddb.com]. The patch requires at least ♥♥♥ 1.5 and must be unpacked directly into the existing installation directory, whereby the overwriting of some files is to be confirmed. The current full release[www.moddb.com], on the other hand, costs just under 1 GByte and does not require an installed previous version of ♥♥♥. Since we don’t provide installers for the respective operating systems yet, you have to execute the appropriate start file, ♥♥♥.x86_64.exe under Windows, ♥♥♥-linux.x86_64 under Linux and ♥♥♥-osx.x86_64 under MacOS, directly from the installation directory. Please note, existing desktop or menu shortcuts will not be updated automatically and therefore have to be adjusted manually if required.

Since the game content has not changed that much, we will not list all changes here. If you want to know exactly, please have a look at the file changelog.txt in the directory XTRAS. If you feel like playing a round of World of Padman now, you can directly visit our PadWorld server with the new version. Otherwise there will be our next Padday tomorrow, starting at 7:00 pm (CET), for which you should have the new version installed in any case.
