LANtastic LAN Parties!

Also, I know not everyone has windows 10, but Halo Forge has server hosting

How do you guys feel about Goldeneye Source? It's free, I can even share the installation and source folder for people to snag if they don't have it. 5.0 came out, and it is excellent.

Headpool182, yes indeed we'll be throwing up a Vanilla TF2 server :)
Raw TF2 isn't on the schedule, but the server will be running 100% of the time w/ voting etc, so anytime the crowd feels like we can jump in.

Will we have a vanilla tf2 server?

RE Quake III - it's highly likely we will do this :) - as discussed via e-mail as well

RE tournaments vs. games:
- the style of the LAN is primarily "casual gaming" - we provide a fun mixed experience for fun large (MASSIVE) and small (BANANZA) multiplayer games; MOST games are "intermediate" in nature, usually easy to pickup, and inexpensive. To accomplish this, we throw up a "recommended schedule" - for with the majority of attendees follow -- but anyone can play anything! so if you don't like a particular game, don't play it -if you like a game but it's not on the list, play that whenever you want too :)
- we do not usually plan to run any tournaments, as they historically conflict with the schedule -- that said -- sometimes we DO have impromptu mini-tournaments or activities for prizes
- so in summary, I suppose it is a "get together" type of LAN!
