*I know Story Mode will eventually go farther. Right now it basically has nothing after completion of the Laser.

There are a few issues:

#1 Issue overall: The ability to just sit on the PCT quest to avoid triggering the story line quest timer is a problem. This purely incentivizes the player to just build, store, and research until completing the Laser stages is a trivial (if stultifyingly boring) certainty.


- Simply upping the number of items required to complete story missions isn't great. This doesn't really make it feel more difficult or challenging, just far FAR more tedious.

- The stages of building the laser need to feel more rewarding and interactive. Right now this quest and it's end are just dull as dishwater.

The in-game world stops feeling interactive once you hit the Laser quest, the other corporations cease mattering, CRUST stops having any input, feedback, or impact etc...

***HIGHLY suggest implementing side quests for other Corporations the allow them to complete 1 or 2 of the Laser Stages as subcontractors. Give the player some agency in HOW this quest gets completed.

-Water (Ice) is almost useless and far too abundant. I finished Epic using exactly 2 Ice deposits in my base and frankly I could have done it with one. There were FOURTEEN ice veins on my underground map. Ice is only used to produce fuel and for water to make organics/O2 yet there are techs galore to produce more and more of it. Add ice or water as a requirement for more assembler/high tech recipes.

-CPU techs are nonsensical and unbalanced. The first small CPU requires ZERO power and can be installed in rooms without electricity, oxygen, or water. Every "upgrade" CPU tech after that is so much more costly that there is no reason to use them. One empty concrete room filled with cheaply produced CPU cores will give any player more CPU capacity than they will ever need.

-Allow trucks servicing MDR's to be route tagged to drop off at one particular cargo dock everytime. Right now if you allow auto-unloading they just seem to all converge on one Cargo dock at random instead of load balancing or allowing one Cargo dock to specialize etc.

-I understand outpost are a WIP but damn do they need a TON of work. Right now they are unrewarding entirely and almost worthless beyond harvesting HE-3. The refinery functions are especially broken and laughable.

-Need a mid/late-game tech that goes beyond moon trucks. Let the railgun have a cargo variant, make something fly, anything.

The wiring mechanic is beyond tedious after the very early game. Develop a wireless or auto-powering tech and put it int he research tree. Replace wiring tech with LIGHTING and SIGNAGE techs (put this in the social tree).

- The Social research is just plain stupid. Get rid of the furniture trash in this tree. All of it.
