Vehicle Bay placement issue?

Finally surfaced playing a challenge v large map. Problem came when placing the V. Bay. between a "forested-occupied" tile and the Mercury base... Construction of V.bay would not complete (I tried a couple of different placements) unless its position was completely clear of all occupied tiles other than Mercury base.....Problem?

Howdy @draughtman. Not sure what you mean by "occupied" tiles. The vehicle bay can be placed on any adjacent tile to the main facility. Are you able to place the vehicle bay, but it's not being constructed? If so make sure you have a shipping container placed so that colonists can deliver materials to the vehicle bay for construction. Once all materials are delivered the building will be constructed.

Ok , After a good nights sleep , my knackered 70 y/o brain finally worked out that although I had more than sufficient material for the task, I had insufficient "builders" to solve the issue. - Embarrassed now.
