DirectStorage is on CPU in settings
I've looked at the PC Specs tab under the graphics options, and it says it's doing DirectStorage on the CPU. Shouldn't that be on GPU? Or am I misunderstanding something?

You are talking about hardware accelleration? Yes you want that unless you got some old games who can't handle it, but even then you want to turn it on again.
I'm having the same issue. Upgraded to Windows 11 even but despite saying I should be able to use it, it stays on CPU.

i would also like an answer for this
Use Special K, it'll tell you whether it's using GPU decompression or not (in the Direct3D 12 | DirectStorage tab of the control panel).

Don't trust the game, they can't even calculate VRAM usage correctly for their VRAM meter.

Is your storage device compatible? push windows key + g and then click the settings cogwheel, then go to gaming features. It should list all your drives and tell you if any are compatible with direct storage. Then you need wilds installed on that drive.

Yes, everything is compatible. Something odd is going on with it.
The game is just borked
