How do i use Special K with MH Wilds?

i heard Special K fixes some frame gen and Reflex problems with the game

i have a 4060ti and i'm playing with DLSS 4 and Frame Gen on

sometimes the game micro stutters in the Oil Area and sometimes the game just force quits, without any crash report

i downloaded Special K but i'm a noob and don't know how to install it properly in MH Wilds, ive installed the app but dont know how to setup

do i have to keep the app open everytime i open a game?

You shouldn't - the developer was caught distributing malware before and someone like that can't be trusted nor should he be supported again.

Instead use reframework it fixes a lot of the microstutters since today and gives a hefty performance boost.

I always thought that special k stuff was something fishy.....
always heard people talking about him like it was som ekind of god or something....
but deep down inside i never took special k stuff serious..
fake fixes :P

Luckily i have no micro stutter anyway !!!
So i don't need any mods or stuff !

He is an unpleasant person who constantly got into fights with mods and users on steam and got rightfully banned. But what is the source for "distributing malware"? He hasn't done that as far as I know.

Would like to have some more info about that since I've been using Special K for a long time and never heard of anything like spreading malware.

Idk for the moment no antiviruses nor famous virus scan sites flagged Special K nor it deleted anything from my computer and you can disable auto-updates in the settings of the Special K injector, I will probably keep using it in the games I use it for unless I can find more info about what you're saying

In the Special K launcher settings activate:
"Minimize when launching a game"
"Restore after closing a game"
"Auto-stop on injection"

Then launch the game from the Special K launcher and press CTRL+SHIFT+Backspace or Start+Select or Start+Back buttons on your controller to enter the in-game menu.
From there check the various settings and set it up according to any guide you find or check some tutorials around

Still, as for right now I've been using the lastest ReFramwork mod update instead of SpecialK for MHWilds and I've had 0 issues with it, no more crashes and as Rumi said, a nice performance boost just from using it :)

Micro stutters are because of direct storage DLL been version 1.2.2 instead of 1.2.3, search on this forum how to replace them, that's what's causing the stutters.

It was delisted as Kaldaien had multiple accounts with community bans, wich I guess pushed them to delist it from Steam and move Offsite (Link to Steamcommunity SpecialK Events) apart from the use of copyrighted screenshots (?)

Still no info about the malware-spreading thing :/

I see your point but the last post about that security breach things were from 3 years ago and as far as I've seen the development of Special K had a bigger team than just Kaldaien there is also the open github where you can check all the changes or even clone it yourself and check every file / code of it + they disabled auto-updates so...

I can understand the concerns and prejudices some people have, but they should still do some research about how things changes and not focus a big project on just the missdoings of one person of the project (Not trying to defend any actions that he/the Special K might have done/did just talking from the research I'm doing right now)

Because they wanted screenshots of the software for our store page, and since our software kinda doesn't work without a game, there's no possible way of giving them a screenshot that's not copyright infringement as far as Valve's concerned.

There's a thing called fair use, but Valve doesn't seem to understand that :-\

So for example, everytime i want to launch MH Wilds i have to open Special K app first and launch the game from it? Or can i setup to everytime i click Play on Steam the game already opens with Special K?

stop spreading misinformations, ive replaced mine with dlss 4 from day 1, hell i even replace every games dlss file to newest including online games with anti cheat and everything is fine
