sub-60 FPS is unplayable? Sounds like a personal problem.
you gonna eat those words when it launches in Feb and its gonna run exactly the same way as it does now.
Its capcom lol, just check out their previous ports.
There's a reason that you cannot make a Steam review - positive or negative - for a game that you are playing in beta test such as this one.
It has to at least officially launch before you can review it - that should go without saying.
Because what we are playing right now is not fully reflective of the final product. Of course there will be more optimizations and kinks sorted out between now and the actual release, that's the whole point of a BETA.
That said, I sort of agree that I hate the reliance on DLSS, and I'd like if the game supported weaker hardware (especially weaker CPUs) -- and I wish I could forego graphics and bells and whistles to get a smooth 240fps (heck, even 150fps+) on my monitor as I'm sensitive to framerate.
It is what it is though, this game is targeting medium-high to top-end hardware. It will end up scaling better into future years as a result, but people on low to mid end hardware will suffer in the now - such is life.
FWIW my performance on an intel 10700k + RTX3070 has been just fine, not happy with using DLSS but I'm keeping 60fps at 1440p medium.
At just 4 months from release, performances like these are unacceptable.
What do you think programmers will be able to fix with just 4 months left?
I’ve played beta tests that have zero performance issues before, what’s wrong with expecting a large publisher to actually put out something of quality? They put out a bad demo and ask $70, btw. They are pricing themselves in the top tier and offering bottom tier performance. Don’t give a pass because it is beta.

Also, MH RISE is based on the same engine but when the beta came out it ran perfectly with high fps and no issues sorts of
Someone obviously didn't bother to read what the purpose of this was.
I'm about to render your post obsolete.
This an open beta test to check networking. That's it.
There is nothing else to take away from the purpose behind this test release.
If the game works for you well enough, great! If not, too bad, that isn't the focus.
