Close the data room door immediately after hucking a grenade/blasting at the vents. You should survive this way.

1 - Buffout or END buff items: Max HP increase.
2 - Atomic Cocktail and Fire Ant Nectar: Fire Damage defense.
3 - Eat many different type of food/drink before shooting, this will fight the on-fire debuff.
4 - And last but not least, good Defense. Metal Armor, Power Armor, etc...

I think I threw some dynamite and with high speed and hit points, I managed to reach the elevator and survive.

A simple long fuse dynamite works. Or a grenade rifle too.

Just hide in the last room to the left of the vents and chuck a grenade in (I found some frags earlier in the vault) and lock the dooe.
Just make sure your companiobs are in the back of the room. That amount of damage can kill them even without hardcore mode.

I solved everything by shooting Keely's head and leaving the vault intact ..... no, come on, seriously. I think the C4 with the detonator is the most ..... comfortable solution
