Avoid Because of Kernel Level Anti-Cheat (nProtect Gameguard)

The truth is, this game's anti-cheat, Nprotect Gameguard, is the cheapest and most unsafe rootkit anti-cheat on the market.

Since it's kernel level the anti-cheat has kernel access to your PC, meaning it can go through all your files and control hardware. Some reported that even after uninstalling their games, people still can't get rid of the anti-cheat as it lurks in your PC.

Here's a list of awful Free 2 Play games that Helldivers 2 has the honor of sharing an anti-cheat with: Games List [steamdb.info]

The decision behind using this anti-cheat is because, the developers don't want cheaters to steal microtransactions like they did in the first game. Which is absolutely fair, but they have chosen the wrong anti-cheat.

It doesn't even make sense for a PVE Game to have such a strong rootkit anti-cheat that gives it access to your entire PC.

To protect their profits, the developers have chosen an anti-cheat that put players at risk.

Many people have been turned away from this game, due to their decision.

I hope the developers read this and consider using one of the popular anti-cheats like EAC, at least that anti-cheat has a good reputation unlike nProtect Gameguard.

Edit: Thank you everyone for all the awards and kind messages. I hope the developers take the feedback of this review seriously and change their anti-cheat to a less intrusive one.

Absolutely Worth Every Penny!

Deep Rock is an OUTSTANDING “Chilling with the boys” game.

Let's start off with saying the game is incredibly underrated and deserves much more. Like L4D2 and other gameplay loop orientated games, it's very addicting.

Excellent co-op gameplay with randomized cave systems, objective based missions and waves of angry bugs to shoot. It has four very distinct classes with customization and perks. It's just a very well designed game overall. The game does have proper a solo option for those that want to venture alone. While I found it relaxing and engaging, it is not as fun as playing with a group of friends.

The community blew me away! From my experience everyone is super friendly and welcoming to newer players. Barely any toxicity because there is no competitive pressure.

Unfortunately, The endgame may be underwhelming like most of the other gameplay loop orientated games. Once you've done everything, there isn't much of an incentive to play other than just having a short session with friends. However, it will take a while reaching end game. There's just so much to do objectively, that it doesn't get old fast.

The developers care about their product and constantly add updates.

Overall, It's just so fun, there's no pressure to rush anything. It's the type of game you can hop in for an hour or two.

Just sit back, grab your favorite drink and have a good time with your friends.

My love for gaming started with NFS games, my dad got me NFS: Hot Pursuit and damn I was blown away and next year got myself NFS: The Run. I got hands on PS2 around the same time and playing Dragon Ball Z , Spider-Man and Hot Wheels with my friends was an absolute blast.
And congrats on Fall Guys 100%..

I'll talk about non-video board games, just for the fun of it. We liked the board game Risk a lot when I was a lad. But I think the game Paddle Pool (1970) might be my favorite. It actually involves dexterity and skill. Can have 2 to 4 players, but I think it's best with 4, and we used to practically roll on the floor with laughter. Years later we sat our grandfather down to play with us. He said "your floor must be tilted, the ball keeps rolling back to me!". That was so funny (you need to understand the game to get how funny that was, but we loved it). https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/23270/paddle-pool
