Overall this is a great fps shooter. For mosy heists there are 2 ways to play, everybodys favourite, loud and stealth. Since there are 2 play styles based on the way you play this ame can become fast paced or stealth, However there are missions that are only one way or the other. As with all games nothing is perfect. It can be a bit deficult to get started unless you have a vetren friend. The match system for joining games is not perfect either, connections are some times droped and it can also be a bit slow. And then there is the comunity, althought its mostly good i have ran in to my fare share of kick happy hosts and over all just toxic players, hackers used to be promenent but the game devs have fixed it and have one fo the best hacker detections systems ive ever seen. The way I see it the good far overways the bad and I would defently recomend this 100%.

Excellent replayability and strong concept. Casual players could easily sink 50 hours into this game. Could use some more content but the developers are still updating this game consistently. Single player is enjoyable but the game gets exponentially better the more friends you bring along. If you're on the fence about buying this I would recommend waiting for a sale. Solid 8/10 potentially a 9/10 with a few more updates. *EDIT* This game has gotten a few major updates now and is worth full price. The devs put their heart and soul into this game and it shows.

The game is still buggy but worth playing through at least once in it's current state.

Rogue Warrior is an action FPS where you play as the patriot Richard “Demo ♥♥♥♥” Marcinko as he takes on the North Korean communists during the infamous Cold War. Based on the well renowned books by Marcinko himself.

When I started this game, I didn't know what to expect. I'd played countless legendary FPSs including Half Life, Borderlands, CSGO and even Cory in the House for the Nintendo DS (see last months review). Obviously I hadn't expected much out of this game at first, but as I got off that first helicopter and saw the grenades rolling, I was already ducking in my chair. The immersion was incredible, and that was just in the cut-scene. Even Doom didn't have me this engrossed at the get go. When you first take control of Marcinko, you feel like you can do anything, and this game doesn't hold you back.

The combat is spectacular, from the quiet yet lethal silenced pistol, to the untamable roar of the AK-74, you feel like a real American Army Marine. To the view-models, animations, and sounds, the guns are incredible. The innovative “Kill Move” also adds another layer of strategy to the combat. The enemy AI is rather stupid, which I initially assumed to be a fault of the games programmers, but I quickly realized it was intentional because after all, I was fighting communists.

Moving away from the combat, the plot was nothing less than genius. Much like a well written TV show, (see my review of Big Bang Theory) it had me glued to the seat for the entire duration of the game. The consistent and unpredictable plot twists kept me thinking to myself “just one more chapter”. There were moments where I cried, but that only made the ending so much sweeter. I'll leave that one for you gamers to experience for yourselves. Trust me, it's worth it.

I noticed many of these reviews didn't mention the level design. This game stole the crown from Half Life 2's own Ravenholm. Except Rogue's genius wasn't limited to just a single level. You see, Rogue Warrior didn't just overshadow Ravenholm, it—to quote Marcinko—made it “suck it's balls, it's hairy f*****g balls, wrap them around it's mouth”. Even now I find it difficult to compare the two.

One of the things that impressed me the most about this game was the sound and graphics. Both of these lent themselves to the total immersion I was experiencing. Even on my Apple Airpods™ and Compaq™ CRT monitor I still felt what can only be described as ecstasy. Even when zoomed in on Marcinko's magnificent beard, I could see every individual hair and pore. I could hear the brush of the trigger and the deafening crack of the sniper rifle. This is something that can only be experienced, not described by a mortal such as myself.

In conclusion, It would feel wrong to even give this game a 100/100 rating, because then I would be comparing it to other games with similar scores. You see, no game can be compared to this masterpiece, even on a point scale. In light of this, I have lowered all scores on all my other reviews to compensate. All past and future games will now be measured on a scale of .0 to 1.0.

FINAL SCORE
100.0/100.0

Unexpectedly good narrative. IMO buy at $20 or lower, you won't regret it.
