It's a good game, I unlocked everything and saw everything at like hour 25, at 58 it feels really repetitive. The minimal content isn't the end of the world, but the bugs and crashes are pretty unbearable. Multiplayer matchmaking doesn't work every other day and this game is not fun or intended for solo play, right now you can expect to have an entire lobby get disconnected and have to restart the same mission. Sometimes you can't join friends. With 58 hours in this game I can confidently say I've had more crashes in this one title than every other game combined. It's kind of impressive how unplayable it is, yet still so popular. I just don't recommend in it's current state, if there was more content then sure but by the time the bugs are ironed out the game will be dead.

I really like the mechanics of this game, the art style, and how it's different than other RTS's. But that being said the AI is abysmal, and the worst part is, it wasn't always this bad, I assuming they just haven't done the necessary updates and tweaking with the addition of new factions and balances. IF the AI even manages to attack you or not die from wildlife by the 3rd year, they will give up and essentially sit idle, even when they have resources to attack or acquire more land (I completely surrounded an AI with 30 pop and over 1000 gold and left my borders undefended and they did not attack for 7 years until I won). They're entirely docile and are not substitutes for players, if anything they should be seen as neutrals on the map for real players to interact with. And that being said, there's not a wealth of players, and because of that you mostly get new players or people with 3000 hours, so it's hard to find a balanced match, there's not enough people for ranked matchmaking to properly sort you. But that's a fault of a lot of older matchmaking in general. The biggest issue is people play to the meta or whatever guide they follow and at the first upset they quit. So all of the win conditions are void because if you survive the meta all in attack on year 3 the enemy will just auto forfeit because they've devastated their economy and can't defend themselves against a counter attack. Or if someone is playing for a win condition the first bad winter they quit because they're just entirely playing off of a guide or they just have no interest in attempting to adapt or anything. If you have a match of real players that are willing to fight tooth and nail for victory this game is probably an 8 or 9/10. But playing against AI feels like a tech demo, and if you can manage to wait for a lobby to fill up you're likely getting super high ranked and super low ranked, and even if the teams are balanced all you have to do is survive the meta 803AD attack and the enemy will forfeit. This game is like a 2/10, low player numbers means poor matchmaking ranked or otherwise, and the AI do nothing on every difficulty.

So I didn't like this game when it first came out the first person just really doesn't work well and it's intentionally cumbersome and clunky to control add difficulty. Didn't really play it. When I heard there was finally third person I bought the gold edition, didn't realize gold edition was just two DLC and steam wouldn't refund it because it merged with my original game. Unfortunate, but oh well.

Well let me tell you, at the beginning of this game the enemies are ridiculously difficult because you're weapons are massively underpowered and they didn't think to have the enemies scale after the intro, I died a ridiculous amount of times at the first horde event (on hardcore) and died a fair amount on various bosses, because of running out of resources despite looting everything and getting probably about 95+% of all optional loot and treasures. Finished most of the daughters with my knife because there wasn't any more resources or ammo in the entire castle.

And towards the end of the game I was dominating everything just farming every horde and mini boss for loot. They did a terrible job scaling enemies imo the lycan were the most difficult enemies in the game by far and they're the first thing you encounter and again aren't scaled down at the beginning of the game takes about 20 bullets with the starting handgun on hardcore which I think just doesn't make for a fun game.

But despite all that, and dying repeatedly on certain parts and probably afking in game for an hour or more I beat the game in 9.5 hours and I was playing it at a casual pace. So if I was playing on normal with no prior experience it would probably have only been 6 hours 100% it. That's absurd. Normal or hardcore with a new game and/or with infinite ammo weapons probably looking at more like 4. Definitely not worth the price imo. Far from it.

Game is complete garbage in first person. Not worth your time, let alone money so make sure you get whatever dlc that's required for 3rd person.

It's a really fun game but sometimes the RNG of the events is a little rage inducing. I had a fantastic run. 4 team members highest rank in most of the stats between everyone. 300 gas, 50 food, atleast a hundred of each ammo type and high quality weapons for everyone. Had a bandit encounter event and I figured everyone could take a hit if I failed the "run away" option. NOPE. did 3 points of damage to not one, not two, but all 4 of my team members instantly killing my entire party 2 days from Canada. With a brand new vehicle. Genuinely never have had a run that good and a random event insta-killed my entire party.

Not great for people who don't like randomness determining the entire outcome.

Game previously was unplayable with lag and desync with more than 1 or 2 friends. It seems to work better now I haven't had giant bases and a lot of teammates together for a while now but it does seem to be very much resolved.

Civ is cool if you've been keeping with updates it's like 100-200$ game not including dlc civs, so idk if it's worth that but it's pretty fun a lot of replayability.

This game is very poor. It isn't optimized at all, the graphics are poor, the game mechanics are not interesting and easily exploitable. There was one instance where (while trying not to kill people and the only unlethal weapon I had was my fists) I threw caltraps on the ground and hit soldiers until they eventually hit me then I just had to walk to the other side of the room and heal because they couldn't path find their way to me before I could use a medkit. Sneaking is a huge part in this game but it's infinitely more rewarding to just sprint through those sections and take everything, because enemies cannot reach you or stop you. I had no trouble finding food on the hardest difficulty and if you're not interested in playing paficist (I'm not even sure if there's any reward to that) you can easily just stun lock every enemy I encountered from 100 to 0 (without any combat perks). You find collectibles as masks and it shows a still game model black and white imagine while the character has a conversation with his brother and despite the characters being teens/young adults in the flashbacks they talk like children and it's so boring and uninteresting that I ended up eventually just skipping them. And the cutscenes that actually feature moving models/characters are terribly animated and as uninspired. The crafting system is a little uninspired I didn't have an interest in crafting really besides just building everything I could just in the effort of making use of material I found. The perks you choose when you level up really aren't balanced well if you sneak you can upgrade the sneak tree which makes the already painfully easier sneaking (which features enemies that don't see you when you stand up across the road from guards in a well lit area not spotting you) and if you're not interested in sneaking just max damage because again you don't need health when you can just stun lock enemies and manage groups of enemies by doing that. There's not a wealth of npc models and they're really stiff and really make you feel like it's not a real world and the people aren't anything to care about, especially when they don't really interact with your character at all killing them or completely ignoring them had no impact. It just feels like an alpha game, really needs more than polish it needs it's core game mechanics to function well so that the rest of the game has a chance be anything but boring.

I don\'t understand why the close combat bundle or whatever it\'s called includes the gernades that every new soldier is equipped with.

This is game is great, but Bannerlord is coming out! I got a little teary, and also almost prematurely came, just watching gameplay, does anyone know when it's suppose to come out, because I want to know when to start stockpiling food in my room.
