I was deep in love with the Battle Network series from the Gameboy Advance, and was absolutely heartbroken and happy at the same time when the saga ended in the Cybeast finale. Enter Starforce, a 3D-styled Battle Network that just never clicked for me.

But soon came One Step From Eden. And all my memories and nostalgia came rushing back like a waterfall full force against my face. I love everything about this game: the music (100% chef's kiss!!!), the method of adquiring chips (well, cards in this case), and the bosses being literally every playable character but buffed to hell. Everything this game does honors the legacy of Battle Network and I couldn't be any more in love with it. Is it the best? Not by a long shot, it's not Megaman. But man, does it come close to it. And I'm fine with that being the case.

Spec Ops: The Line was a game that taught me what real evil can be; what a human can do in the brink of madness, what the heart of darkness consumes within a person. That war is not fun as all action games advertise and that "war crimes" are not funny memes either.

As much as this ♥♥♥♥ sounds like I'm just dunking on this game, THIS ♥♥♥♥ SLAPS. It's your average action game at the beginning but... it's a unique experience. And I beg you, play it for yourself. Don't let anyone show you ANYTHING about it, just play it. Please.

This game is like a cake. I ate a lot of it, I felt sick for a bit, and then I kept eating.
I can't fight it. It's stronger than me.

This mod just OOZES quality.

E:Z2 actually fleshes out the story that was missing from the first game and THANK GOD it does. This mod is an amazing Half-Life 2 story that I never thought I would actually get hooked to, even more so than the actual storyline from the mainline games.

Fascinated with the voice acting and the animations in this game, and I'm so glad I stumbled upon with this.
After getting all the endings, I'm left with a lot of happiness and hopes that Aiden escapes and stops the Combine from taking the Borealis. Aiden is one crazy motherfücker but god I love his emotion whenever he's killing stuff. Makes it feel a bit cliche (with a lot of references that made me laugh out loud) but it's a comedic twist in his sour story.

I give it 10 Xen Grenades out of 10. Everyone should try it.

A fast-paced game with really unforgiving difficulty curve on some stages, and really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mechanics with most bosses. I really enjoyed dashing around the place while killing punks but some enemies are really just... idiotic. What the ♥♥♥♥ am I supposed to say about the Enforcers? They are... balanced? ♥♥♥♥ off.

Cyber-space puzzles were not my cup of tea. Call me braindead, but I honestly can't fathom PUZZLES in a FAST game. If it's all about movement and slicing people, they're just anti-climatic. THANKFULLY, Hardcore mode doesn't have these, so it checks out.

Jack's story mode was really enjoyable, and reading and experiencing his story in itself was a breath of fresh air from most Cyberpunk stories you always find either in books or other games.

Hel's story mode was... iffy for me. While it is a nice prequel to the events of the main game, the whole evil cyber-ninja going rogue part was just... a bit cliche, but hey, it is a nice spin on things. Plus, the introduction of the new enemies really had me at the top of my game, and it felt rather weird having to ACTUALLY avoid killing enemies for once! The difference between Hel and Jack is noticeable as ♥♥♥♥, considering the increased mobility that Hel has over him, and the ability to actually SURVIVE a hit with enough kills, while Jack gets... well, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. The bosses however... they felt a bit underwhelming.

Overall, a really good game. It's not that long, but it doesn't need to be.

Synthetik was my third "Roguelike" (even tho its mostly Rogue"lite") game. Risk of Rain 1 was my first and then it's sequel came second. If anything I have learned from those two games is to NEVER stop moving, and Synthetik sells you this from the first glance. It has a very niche and satisfying gameplay AND gunplay, and it never feels boring or stale. Its extremely challenging even for someone with experience. Of course, it's very friendly for new people coming into this genre of games and, at least for me, is very to pickup and play without much introduction.

Bought it on a discount and ended up buying the optional DLCs as a result of my absolute love for the game, and my hope that its sequel will eventually surpass the crazy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that happens in this one.

btw if you're not on Loop 5 220% diff on 300 terror level, you're a gigantic ♥♥♥♥♥.

PLAY THIS GAME. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST, ITS AN ORDER. PLAY IT.

A simple game similar to Town of Salem, full of puzzles and deception.
Premise? As a crewmate do all your tasks and wait for your other mates to do the same.
As an impostor just kill everyone.

It's only enjoyable with friends. If you don't have friends, don't play it.

Personally, I don't enjoy it even with friends because it's not my type of game, but still. I recommend it because I'm trying NOT to be an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ towards this game that just became it's own 2020 meme.
