My best friend from high school saw that I added this on my wishlist. Moments later, I get a text from her telling me to just buy it, along with a screenshot showing that she had accumulated a number of hundreds of hours in this game. She never really recommends games, so this must have meant that Slay the Spire is something special.

Turns out, Slay the Spire is something special.

A great take on rogue-lite dungeon crawlers, Slay the Spire keeps a rewarding and satisfying ratio between fights, choices, and events. The short form nature of the game (I won't go into detail with what that means due to potential spoilers) always brings you back hungry for more. I'm not even the type to like games like this, they usually bore me in all honesty. But again, Slay the Spire is something special, and it deserves a place within your library as much as the developers deserve the dozen or so dollars to purchase it.

This game is not for players looking for a choice-based, active experience. It is a dull world with superficial and simple characters worrying about boring meaningless crud. I'm honestly so angry I wasted my money on this vapid piece of s***.
