Modern adaptation of classic literature into poetic, haunting, and surreal gameplay where difficult decisions, if recognized as such, have to be made. The game is 10 years old, so it's partially a subversion of a genera of American shooters that came out that decade. There are some easily accessed out of bounds bugs and missed event cues that require resets, but otherwise, this game is a creative achievement.

Devs removed an important and cool scene in the game without leaving an option to keep it in.

I never knew a banjo could make me feel so many things: nostalgia, belonging, and a desire to recommend this game.

Boring games deconstructed become fun!

Blow away by the creativity of this one. Hard to play without cracking a smile. Ton of features on release, including a build-your-own mode and co-op. I just wish they'd release a soundtrack.

Great concept, but needs polish. My complaints surround the default map and the default songs on normal, which should be representative. Textures of the skybox, menus, and most objects in the background are too low. The moving floor texture's color is nauseating. Nitpicks: there are frequent, strangely-placed load screens, the hud in game is too far back and needs to be easier to glance at,

I'm aware mods might solve these problems, but mods should enhance a game, not make it bearable.

Took a few boxing lessons in real life, but don't have reliable access to that gym. This game is a great substitute because you're rewarded for good technique. No bugs, excellent physics, good developer support and communication, a workout and training like no other. Could only be improved by the addition of a dodging/blocking training mode or mitts. Worth full price!

Beneath the bizarre frame rate dips and freezes, there's a Borderlands game with vastly improved customization and gunplay. I should not be getting crashes and less than 60 fps at any point on the low preset.

In true Borderlands fashion, the story is filled with tedious 'clear the area' tasks and cringy dialogue. However, the DLC's are great and grinding levels to get to.

Wait for a big sale and for performance fixes.

Lets me live out my wildest fantasies of being a sober, rugged individualist with cunning market sense and impeccable fashion choices, beloved by my colleagues, giant insects, the homeless, my reflection, and inanimate objects alike.

The best description I've heard about this game: imagine the most sophisticated and thoughtful Dungeon Master ever ran a module just for you. If you like table top role playing formats like D&D, you'll like this game.

An ontology lecture with gameplay. Not for everyone.
