Doesn't deserve mixed reviews, game is so good. Think less complicated tarkov on an apex legends map with NPC monsters. Can be tilting when you die to some dude camping in a corner with a shotgun but thats just the nature of this genre. Guns feel good, movement feels good, sound design is great, loot feels rewarding when you extract successfully, it feels great when you win gun fights and terrible when you lose all your gear. But it's not too punishing, you can upgrade your quarters to generate money passively to get back in the game, as well as putting insurance on your gear. The NPC's are effective and challenging

characters are very customizable
end game is good and challenging
the treadmill never stops baby
upgrading gear can be frustrating when you fail, but compared to games like WoW I much prefer this system.
If you want to play this game, just know leveling is kind of a pain but you really only have to do it once

This game does not deserve mixed reviews. People are upset about the anti-cheat but I mean valorant (also chinese company) does the same thing in their game. This game has great graphics, it's free to play, some of the best movement I've ever felt. It's fun and challenging, but can also just be played casually solo or with friends. And it's put a unique spin on the BR genre. There are some nice features like picking where you're going to spawn and seeing who is around you. You can revive fallen team mates, all the classes seem pretty balanced (melee builds are a little strong but skilled to play) Over all a really good game

Stupid f*cking NPCs and horrible enemy ai ? Check.

Mediocre driving ? Check. (and this is actually something cp did much better than tw3 where roach was just barely serviceable and feeling much worse the likes of ac , sotc , mgsv and rdr)

Broken economy ? Check. (remember when contracts gave you an average of 300 crowns and witcher gear cost thousands of crowns and you had to sell gear you collected in skillige's question marks to actually craft them ?)

Skills that only just improve your stats in certain situations ? Check.

Broken loot system where you'll have to constantly swap gear instead of holding on to things you like ? Check.

Broken crafting system ? Check.

Now let's see what cyberpunk was actually praised for ? Characters , story , choices , side content , atmosphere and music ."

All that being said, been having a great time in the game but all these concerns are valid and hopefully in 6 months time all these things will be addressed like in the witcher 3. It's a shame it got released in this state but I'm also happy I'm finally able to play it. In its current state I'd say it's an 8/10 for me, and hopefully with time it'll be the 10/10 I know it can be

Fun to mess around, especially with friends. Increasing difficulties and class upgrades gives incentive to keep playing and get better. All around solid game. Could use some launch optimizations.

This game is heaps of fun, and only getting better with each major monthly patch. It's pretty sad that people have to ruin steam review ratings over microtransactions. It's just the reality we live in, if you want a game to have longevity, there needs to be a constant flow of cash, and the best way to do that is microtransactions. They're cosmetic for ♥♥♥♥♥ sake, you don't even have to buy them if you don't like them, they don't affect gameplay. It's a much better pay model than paid dlc or pay-to-win.
