I really like Marvel Snap. I will probably keep playing Marvel Snap for quite a while. I have fun in the game.

Can I suggest it to people?

No. Absolutely not. Do not pick up this game if you're more at risk to get hooked on microtransactions. Marvel Snap makes it very apparent that this game is a money making operation first, and a card game second. This is a card game stapled to a microtransaction Hellscape.

The biggest offense this game pulls off is how you actually get new cards. Single cards are sold in the shop for, I kid you not, $100. That's right! ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS FOR A CARD. If you're looking to update your collection after not being in the game for a while, you have to spend dozens, if not hundreds, of hours grinding for currencies to slowly and painstakingly unlock 3/5ths of the card pool for free. "What about the other 2/5ths of cards?" Well, that's where you get to spend that $100 at a time, of course! Along with getting a card when you buy the season pass, there's also cards you can only buy with certain currency. It takes 6000 tokens of said currency to get a new card from this season. The 6000 tokens are available for $100+ dollars, though! I can see the intention of wanting players to really earn these new cards, but in reality, it's just a scam. I desperately wanted a seasonal card for my self destruct deck, but there was no way for me to get it after spending probably a half hour to an hour a day in the game. Like, I am a dedicated player and I cannot get the seasonal cards without paying for them. To date, I have yet to get a purchasable seasonal card because it is impossible to get, by design, for anyone without a credit card.

What message is this sending to your average new player? It is so daunting to see those amounts and compare it to what you actually earn in game. It's so sad because there is a really awesome game I wish I could recommend here. There's high stakes, tense battles, and fun easy deckbuilding for all ages. I would love to talk about all that, but the money making apparatus this game has is way too hard to ignore.

I've spent more time playing Snap than any other game in my life by far. My Steam hours don't even come close to my time on mobile. I'm disappointed to see negative reviews that don't accurately represent the game. This game is free to play, free to win, and most importantly, free to judge for yourself. Don't be misled, Snap is a fantastic game with a bright future. Whether you want to hop in for 5 minutes or 5 hours, you're going to have fun with it.
