Early Access Review
The game is heavily inspired by Hearthstone. Some could call it a rip-off, and I wouldn't disagree, especially with the Sea Brawl (Battlegrounds) mode, or however it's called.
There are very few players in the game, and when there are none available you're matched against very basic bots that aren't really challenging in any way.

All that being said, I found the base game quite fun. It has some nice unique mechanics. There are some nice ideas introduced on cards, alongside those that look like they are taken straight from Hearthstone. The game is fairly well balanced, the cards are fun but don't seem pushed, the whole game hasn't been touched by the power creep, which is a huge advantage for me over HS. Also, you get a lot of cards from the start, so card accessibility didn't feel like a problem.
I won't lie when I say the game is quite fun when it works properly. But it often doesn't.

I could see myself sink more time into this game, if not for the glitches. And there are some, that completely break the game:
- Some card effects cause the game to glitch out and break. Examples of that would be giving multiple extra turns to a player for no reason (and this was very frequent for me), or disabling players from drawing any cards for the rest of the game (this just caused a staring contest). It seems that some card effects cause these glitches pretty often.
- There is a card that just straight up crashes the game when it's on the board, and you can't even return to the game, because it creates a glitched board state which crashes the game over and over again.

I'm sure you can find more glitches if you just play for a bit, I wasn't able to because I was fed up with the game not working properly every third match.

And if one day the devs decide to fix the glitches and make an update, I will happily change this review to a positive one, and give the game another shot

TL:DR hearthstone ripoff, fun to play but too much glitches

Loved the whole game, it's brilliant and was completely worth the pre-order.

It's a very well done card game, the gameplay is both simple to get hang of, and very complex, with the infinite possibilities and the player having a lot of impact on the game with the decision making and little rng during the rounds

However, as much as I loved the story and gameplay of all the in-game "worlds", it's a real shame we can't get to see more of the last 2 scrybes' worlds, especially when the game gives you just a taste of what you could be having with those. But even more important, for a game marketed as a roguelike/lite, its sadly not a one with a whole lot of replayability value. Sure, you can play the story mode again from the start (I definitely will), but sadly it's lacking its own game mode of just being a f**king amazing roguelike you can play over and over. And it's a shame, because it already has everything it needs to be that

EDIT: With the addition of Kaycee's mod update, this game has become exactly what I was hoping for, and now it's an absolutely awesome roguelike I can put my free time into. 10/10
Only way this game could become even better is if the other worlds/gamemodes from the story mode got their own roguelike mods as well. Overall great job, this game is a masterpiece

Another beautiful piece by Killmonday, I got charmed by their work once again.

My only complaint would be that, despite costing more, it feels simpler and is much shorter than Fran Bow, but I think it's still worth it's price.
