As someone who played all of the Like a Dragon games, this one caused me to cry like a ♥♥♥♥♥ the most. I can't say why, but just know that playing all the games before this one is extremely important to giving you the most enjoyable and emotional experience.

The two fighting styles are super fun and all the different side-games are very addicting and great time wasters. Overall, fantastic bridge between 7 and 8 and a fitting way to end the real-time yakuza games we all know and love.

You know a game is bloody genius when you can slap a bunch of seemingly unnecessary tat inside of it and it somehow becomes even better than it was before.

Kevan Brighting is also still brilliant and I wish he was hired for more work.

Let me simplify the whole situation here:

Let's say, VRChat is an actual real life club; Everyone going there, hanging out and partying. It's super popular! However the club is designed in a way that makes it hard some people to enjoy it without bringing in outside help.
Some people can't handle large spaces full of people, so they bring their phone or a games console to distract themselves from the chaos. Some can't handle the loud noises, so they bring in ear plugs or ear defenders. Some even bringing in pepper spray to stop people from getting too hands-on.

Despite having to find workarounds to enjoy themselves, people are having fun. Until one day, the club staff stops the music and the celebrations to ask everyone to listen to their new announcement: They are no longer allowing any club-goers to bring anything into the club and saying they are now bringing in armed guards who are allowed to strong arm anyone bringing anything into the club.

And soon after club attendance drops and they all move to the smaller and more nicer club down the street.

If you love cookies, this game is great because there are many.
If you hate cookies, this game is great because you can imagine your clicks being the smashing of a hammer.

High adrenaline pumping action that'll make your throat hurt from all the metal screaming you'll be doing.

Never has playing as a border crossing immigration officer in a fictional country been so engaging.
