Playing solo is incredibly boring. Do not buy this game if you don't have friends to play with. Overall experience is ok. Feels like a mix of early payday 2 with how stupid the mission select and deep rock galaxy with how absolutely broken are the difficulty levels.

My main issue with this game is visibility. If you're playing at night you can't see ♥♥♥♥. There's also fog everywhere. Can't see enemies, but they can see me. Another thing is that I personally hate games with more than two currencies - and it's one of those. The game is also forced me to create a PlayStation account, which is a god awful experience that wastes 5 minutes of your life.

It runs ok on 7800x3d & 7900xtx, ~120fps 3440x1440 medium-high.

Only buy if you have friends to play with.

gunplay feels awful. ai is even dumber than in previous far cry games.

functionally it's nice, would pay for a game with a dozen of levels
cats are cute, each one has a dedicated achievement with a bit of details on that specific cat
searching for cats is rather easy except the last 10-ish, there's a hint with a cooldown that highlights the general area where a missing cat is located

props for having a linux build, even though the game opened on the wrong monitor (I simply disabled the fullscreen and dragged the window to the correct one)

Don't get this game at full price, it's not worth it. It feels more like a DLC.

The overall feel is better that the regular spider-man game, but the combat feels extremely dumbed down, stealth is not punishing in the slightest and you can heal up absurd amounts during the fights. There are only two suits I liked - the default one and the one where you have a cat in the backpack (purely because of the cat). Story was very plain and boring while also being short (took me less than 8 hours to complete, and that includes a lot of side activities). Same with collectibles - I did not care about their story and only got them for the achievement.
Skills are mostly related to your extra superpower (why is it called venom???) which I pretty much never used in combat due to it feeling awkward.

There's also a useless "app" which doesn't replace crime events from popping up on your screen - just lets you choose which one to attend.

The good things about this game are winter map which looks and feels very immersive and the movement & combat feel overall - I liked them more in here than in the base game. I guess spider-man trainings were also pretty nice.

It's a great game despite the price (it doesn't have regional pricing and I hate paying console premiums) - get it with a discount.

I've played the spider-man and spider-man 2 on a PlayStation 2 and this game is everything I've wished those two to be. Story is rather predictable but good, cutscenes are pretty nice (best part is they are 21:9 and not 16:9), mini-games are really easy but still fun and don't get boring, boss fights are satisfying (regular enemy fights get rather repetitive with 3.5 kinds of enemies game throws at you with different faction models).
Best part of this game is swinging around the beautiful city, which is extremely well done.

Skills (unlike the Miles Morales game) are useful, collecting all the backpacks isn't very grindy and was surprisingly enjoyable due to every single item bringing up some lore. Suits are mostly nice-looking and rarely have useless specials.

Stealth is time-consuming and repetitive but has a rewarding feeling - unlike the Miles Morales game, getting detected just throws you into a fight, so your approach must be very careful.

It runs really smoothly ~150 fps on all high 7900xtx on Linux. Played it with a PS5 controller, which worked great.

It's so hilariously bad that it's actually pretty good (when it works)

You need to use garbage ubisoft app to play with friends, game has awful netcode with constant desync, in coop quests constantly are bugging out, movement feels clunky, shooting does not feel rewarding and feels extremely luck based, cars drive like ♥♥♥♥, default controls are dumb and you can't assign multiple things to one button, changing video settings don't make you feel like graphics actually change (but it runs good on high end highware - constantly hitting 160~200 fps on 7900xtx), you always run out of ammo unless you spend your perk points on ability to carry more ammo instead of spending them on skills that improve the gameplay

despite all of that, it's pretty fun and definitely is worth picking it up on a discount

Respawn doesn't give a ♥♥♥♥ about linux players, game regularly becomes unplayable, this time it's due to a one ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ binary they forgot to include.
Also the netcode is bad - I am getting random lag spikes every couple matches despite having good internet and zero issues with other games.

Last few LTM events were pure unplayable garbage, everything is way too ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dark I couldn't see ♥♥♥♥.

The only upsides are good gunplay (when you aren't getting oneclipped by a brainless kid who happens to only know how to use a controller or a pred in your low rank lobby) and mostly satisfying movement

It also runs pretty well on my high end PC, who could have expected that.

EDIT: also the ranked trials are a horrible experience as a solo queue player

wasted an hour, got it to launch once, failed to capture mouse, don't bother buying.
