Fun fact: Final Fantasy 7 (1997), the best game of all time and an all time epic was just over a gig on multiple disks. But that was back in 1997, when games like Goldeneye 007 (1997) on N64, an all time classic was... 12 megabyte... for real? How are you fitting a whole revolutionary game on 12 MB and still compete with PlayStation? Apparently it was highly compressed content, with procedural real time content generation. And N64 load times were fast.

The greatest game in 1997, and still now, especially considering generation. A fantastic and extravagant epic, crossing many genres in story and gameplay. In the era of in-game secrets, the absolute definition of open world, replete with deep plots and characters down to the most insignificant NPC. The 1997 revolutionary graphics/cutscenes are still mesmeric and indulgent, with a timeless soundtrack and captivating sounds. Satisfying, grandiose turn-based combat and top tier customizability, although mostly easy for a veteran FF player. XCOM meets the Legend of Zelda, with free-roam tones of future GTA games, in upgraded JRPG style from a tradition of digitized D&D. Vastly more content and scope than FF7 Remake Intergrade (2020), a remake of the introductory section of FF7. The 1997 technology holds up surprisingly well. A truly impressive, captivating production.
