Gameplay's fluid, story's really engaging and the characters are just so lovable.

It's an absolute masterpiece. This probably is up there with Skyrim for best game in my mind.

I like this game, I really do. The setting, the mechanics everything. But... The difficulty is not tuned well. The progression in this game is not at all obvious, if there was any. There's ONE medium dungeon at the start. The rest are hard.

And then it comes to the gameplay. It's just too punishing for how much RNG there is. Getting chain-stunned and sitting there helpless is not fun. You can do everything right but the rolls are not with you and... There's just no way to recover. This would be fine in a party system type game like DnD, Darkest Dungeon, etc. where others can mitigate this. But it just doesn't work here when you already have so much on your hands, the last thing is the enemy getting a lucky hit or you missing a crucial strike.

Give it a miss until they tune the difficulty or add more pro-player mechanics.

Would I recommend it in its current state? Nope. It's a depart from Warband and I'd be fine with that... if it was better. The core mechanics of the game, specifically melee and mounted melee combat, actually feels WORSE than Warband. I would concede, however, that ranged combat is markedly improved.

I don't like being ganged up upon, no one likes that. However unlike Warband where you could just kite back and thin out one at a time, no such thing exists here. Add to that that you're pretty much forced in the middle of the Empire at game start unlike being able to choose your starting location back in WB, I'm thoroughly unimpressed by Bannerlord. I would save the money and wait for it to be more polished, because the aged charm of Warband is lost here.

Just about the best game I've ever played.

Well firstly, I would like to say that I enjoyed this game immensely. I've reinstalled this game a few times already because of how fun it is. This was my first TW game and it did not dissapoint. Angry Joe (among other people) called it the best TW game ever made, and it's true enough. This game really is the best TW game ever on release. Definite recommend.

Maps are too big, weapons have too short a range, hit detection sucks ass. I think my bullet travels faster than a guy moves at 100 metres, so why can't I hit him? It's absolutely infuriating to play with.
What's more, the game's terribly optimised and having to set it on low quality really screws with the gameplay because you can't see the guy who mysteriously blended into the bushes and kills you. I've died way too many times to this, it's absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ how players are disadvantaged because of this. Reto needs to address these problems urgently.

Killing floor is... Amazing. The game is still amazing, and it a ton of fun with your friends. You'll have no regrets getting this game to scream in horror and laugh with your friends. Highly recommended.
