Cuno and all his friends in night city say this game is lame.

A unique and very stylised turn base game, that rewards thought put into team synergy and aggressive tactics using "tech" rather than the more traditional turn based games that use cover and positioning. Definitely feel a sense of immersion when playing.

A FPS for those who like to think when they play games.

Played it on the free weekend, it was amazing, but it has a small player base.

Thank you, for giving us a free week, so we can decide if we like Battle Royale games or not.

Sorry guys, I found Doom 4 boring and generic. I prefer something more like Titanfall 2 or Bioshock in terms of single player story shooter. Or something like Call of Duty or Overwatch in terms of PVP multiplayer shooter and definetely Borderlands 2 and Destiny 2 for PVE. Doom was just not for me. So for someone like myself, I wouldn't recommend it.

It's like sports, built upon the hype of a horde of testosterone. Which is ironic because the Doom guy is a man alone. Don't be afraid to be your own man, don't believe the hype, don't be a zombie sheeple. It is ok to not like a game propped up by Tim Allen wannabes.

I guess this game made me realize what I liked about the original Doom, and I was about 16 when that came out, I played it a lot. It was a very innovative at the time. I love innovation in games. Who can tell me what is innovative about this reboot? The melee? well I found Dead Island more satisfying in Melee. Look at Shadow Warrior 2, it has a ridiculous amount of weapons, elements for them, brutal powers allowing you to impale enemies on spikes, swords, all sorts of saws and parkour. Still people think Doom 4 is so amazing, you cant even aim down the sights! They even say it is amazing, because of its simplicity!

Sorry, If I am someone that believes innovation is an important part of a game. I ain't getting on the hype train with this game.

Don't let them tell you that you are not a man because you don't like this game. I grew up with that mentality my whole life with sports, etc. At the end of the day, who has the bigger balls, the guy who just follows the pack or the guy who is not afraid to stand up for his own interests?

If you have your own brain, go and play Prey (2017), it is a challenging FPS, has strategy, a great story, rpg lite skills and crafting. In fact it is a great game that represents how FPSs' have evolved.

P.S. I didn't bother to finish the Doom 4 campaign, too boring after I got the BFG 9000. Those who hate upon my review, did you play the original Doom, I mean when it was first released in 1993? Did you?

It says I have 0.6 hours on record, but it is 47 hours multiplayer, as I am writing this review.

Unfortunately there are a lot of cheats in this game. I am not exaggerating I mean a lot. Really obvious as well, nuking matches, shooting through walls with pistols, vac banned on other games and they are highly prestiged in this game usually, which means they have been doing it awhile in this game.

Recently I tried to submit a report for someone cheating, I tried to do it three times, it crashed the game every time I tried to do it.

Because I have never encountered so many cheats in a game, like ever and I have been a long term fan of the COD series. I cant knock the game, but the cheats are winning. I know this only partially the developers fault. But I just cant recommend a game where the cheating is so out of control.

A great game, which is ruined by terrible unresolved performance issues, constant freezes and framerate drops that increase throughout the campaign. The only way I played it was ctrl alt deleting in and out of the game to unfreeze it. Can't recommend.

Meanwhile, you leave it playing in the background like a screensaver to collect the trading cards, so you can sell them and buy Doom trading cards.

Everything, is little more than a tech demo for the gaming illiterate. You see a scorpion, nope you can't be that, and you certainly can't hunt and kill other creatures. So everything, although not nothing is little more than something.

You collect audio recordings of an old fart hippie who took too much acid in the 60s and listen to his philosophical ramblings.

The best thing about the game is that you can leave it in the background and it will play by itself.
