Its a pretty fun game, rather unique in execution, though you need at least one friend to play it with, and to pick a good server.

Its a pretty decent game once you get good at it, and now that the devs have finally listened to the player base and made some pretty severe fixes to the economy, the game is in a much better state. Gotta give credit for actually doing it, not many other devs would.

TLDR: currently 6/10, wait like a year and maybe then it will be good.

This game was clearly designed with the 'software as a service' model in mind, we are a month after launch the game feels rather shallow in terms of content, there is only 14 missions (and a few of these are just a backwards version of another mission) each taking somewhere between 20-30 minutes, so pretty quickly you will have seen everything there is to see. The missions themselves are decent, but many of them also look very similar to each other aesthetically which only adds to making the game feel more repetitive.

Character progression is also rather lackluster, armour is completely cosmetic now, and the majority of the interesting armour pieces require micro transactions because it wouldnt be a modern game without the devs being greedy ♥♥♥♥♥ and demanding a constant stream of money from the player. Seems like developers from Sweden are consistently very greedy (looking at you paradox) so maybe its part of their culture.

Story wise this game has ♥♥♥♥ all plot to it, there is a few cinematic which are mostly just 30s clips of someone summoning you to call you worthless and telling you to ♥♥♥♥ off or something along those lines, which is a waste given how deep Warhammer lore is. Of course because this is a game made in 2022 the characters have the ethnic demographics resembling that of some western ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ like London, because anything else would be a hate crime.

Stability and performance is also underwhelming, the worst has to be the load times, it takes me 6-8 minutes just to load into the game, and then another 1-2 min to actually start a match. The game also doesnt run very well even with an RTX 2060, struggling to keep a solid frame rate during combat, and many people seem to suffer from crashes. The minimum requirements for this game is a GTX 970/RX 570 but i cant imagine playing on that would be very enjoyable.

While i had my 20 or so hours of fun with this game playing with friends, I regret buying it because im already starting to feel bored with it.

Great game I played this when I was much younger when it first came out, and it holds up pretty well in the current year.
Despite being somewhat overshadowed by other RPG classics such as its predecessor Baldur's gate, this is a solid 9/10 game, a true classic.

This is the pinnacle of Action RPG, open world and third person game development.
Also the only game ive ever wanted more DLC for.

Witcher 3 is to gaming, what white men are to humanity.

The biggest problem this game has is that the Pathfinder TTRPG system just doesnt work for a game like this.

In the actual system you generally might have a few fights between each rest but in this game you could run into situations where you either have to survive dozen or so fights without rest, or backtrack just so you can rest and get your health + spells back.

On top of that the combat has this issue of being almost completely random because dice rolls determine success. This is fine in a TTRPG situation where you have a DM to ensure that you get a fair fight, but in this game dice rolls pretty much mean that you can get annihilated in a fight the first time due to bad rolls and then when you retry you could annihilate the enemy with no effort because you got good rolls. A big reason why this is bad is that it takes the control out of the player's hand, I mean if the fight is completely determined by rolls, so whats the point of careful planning and placement if the majority of the combat is luck reliant.

The story itself is another problem, while I havent completed the entire game, I got 25h in, around the end of act two.
Storytelling feels super fragmented, and while there are some cool things going on like the idea of becoming a lord, it has many problems like the forced railroading "oh you went to village X instead of village Y, village Y has now been razed to the ground" supposedly to create replayability or something. There is also this stupid system where most quests have some sort of a time limit that when failed will make you loose the game.

Another issue the amount of social justice inserts in the game made me cringe super hard at certain points.

In just the first 10 hours you will meet:
- The woman in the OP, someone gifted with supposedly amazing beauty, but instead of being appreciative of this, becomes super salty because men give her attention and send her poems.
- Another woman, this time a barbarian whose backstory and character revolves around her fighting against the patriarchal system of her tribe and own insecurity
- A literal interracial, bisexual and polyamorous couple between an elf woman and half orc man. There is also this theme that the man is supposedly being possessive of her and she complains about it.
- The main bad guy of the first act who I suspect is supposed to be some sort of a commentary on white men and their toxic masculinity.

Im sure there is more further into the game

I feel like the idea of the game is good, but the execution is pretty meh in many places.

Great game, deep customisation, complex combat with a high skill requirement, well optimised and has good graphics, on top of that its cheap and has a great community.

Day one/pre order DLC made from cut content, Multiplayer doesnt work at launch because nobody can log in to their paradox account.

This is a 7 year old game with almost 300 euro worth of DLC, this is straight up absurd.
