Confidently different. Immersive. Relatively easy to jump in and jump out. Time is scarce to spend in gaming? This is worth it.

Masterpiece. AAAA+. Work of digital art.

Pros:
- Very complex gameplay mechanics
- Role play elements in the midst of 4x setting
- You can pause the time in the game whenever you want, and adjust the gamespeed
- fun scifi-setting with lots of crossreferences

Cons:
- Very resource hungry in the endgame, my starting level 2 year old gaming laptop experiences stutter already in the midgame even on second largest map size
- Complex gameplay mechanics, you really have to look up wiki's whenever questions arise. The in-game tutorial only covers the most basic functions

Was well worth the money. Also look for the standalone Android version of XCOM Enemy within. It's cheaper too.

Multiplayer is badly broken. It may destroy your friendships.

1) Pure freezes
2) "unit needs order"-situation where the game seems to be running but you can't issue orders. If you quit the game and rejoin it, the problem persists. The only remedy is to quit game, let the AI run a few rounds and joining afterwards. We needed lots of expirementation to find this way around it. THIS IS THE WORST.
3) Game may start lagging after multiple rounds. You may need to change the hosting player to get around it.
4) Random loading screens, some sort of desync issue?

Single player seems to be working better. Multiplayer not recommended. It has apparently been broken since publishing, but they haven't got around fixing it.

Broken. Starts with black screen and no way around it. Now I read it's broken like this for everyone using win 7 64bit? Really? Can I get a refund?
