Amazing game

Buggy at first, and can be a little clunky at times. But this game has gotten a lot better and I've had a lot of fun with it!

I have been playing total war games since the Rome 2 days, so I've had my fair share of experiences with them.
The Warhammer series has been my favorite by far, and this last installment has been a lot of fun so far. Obviously I wish we had the mortal empires and blood and gore pack at launch, but those will come in time and require a ton of balancing to be done right.
I have ran into several bugs in the game that require me to force quit, or my armies just straight up don't listen to me and stand there being attacked. And I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed by the graphics and the lack of units to choose from for each team, but I have hopes that this will improve over time. I have the game maxed out at 2k, yet the units and terrain look lackluster and overly sharpened, it's odd.

If you aren't a long time TWWH fan, then I would say give this a month or two to work out the bugs. But if you are a fan, there is still a lot to love about this game and the added features are a good thing. All in all, I would recommend this, and I think it will just get better with time!

Pure nostalgia. I have loved being able to play these games on PC.

I do recommend this game because it's an "improved" version of AOE 3, but holy crap, DEVS, please fix this hot mess of crashes and glitches and terrible multiplayer layout. I thought that the bad reviews were just a few people having issues here and there, or that people were being sensitive about the political correctness of the game. Boy was I wrong.... Coming from AOE 2 DE, I thought that this would be similar in the sense of the improved multiplayer layout and just all around improved version of the older game. Instead, I was met with almost instant crashes while in the main menu of the game, a multiplayer menu that is extremely counter-intuitive (no restore match button, a hassle to invite friends to play in a match, a buggy server menu, etc.), and finally, hardly any options to choose from for match settings. The amount this game limits you (compared to AOE 2 DE) is ridiculous.

Okay, I know that was a rant, I do enjoy this game because it is something different to play with my friends and family other than AOE2DE, but I was extremely disappointed with the lack of attention to detail this game has compared to the other DE versions. If the devs keep up with fixes and (Lord willing) change the multiplayer layout and give you more options for customization of your games, then I will praise this game and give credit where credit is due, until then, if you want something different to play than the other AOE games, buy the game, if not, I would wait until there are some major improvements made.

If you're a fan of strategy games, this is a must.

It definitely has its flaws, but if you are a fan of the Men of War games it's worth playing. You will enjoy it!
