TLDR: I purchased this once at full price then refunded, now picked it up on sale. I've tried, really tried, to enjoy this but between the repetitive missions and the uninspired music, I just can't recommend it.

The story missions are filled with endless wave grinds that are more tedious than tactical. Your cunning tactical moves are rewarded with limitless enemy waves into your flank. Tiresome.

The animations remain janky and troops have difficulty responding to orders from time to time. This can often result in defeat. The 1st person mode deals with the same jank, it's just not a smooth experience.

The skirmish game modes are only variants of CTF, no "destruction" style, and the skirmish "campaign" is more of the same tiresome grind with limited forces against a seemingly unlimited enemy force.

Multiplayer was alright but even then, the story campaign is so tiresome I just didn't enjoy Co-op.

The game isn't hard at all, don't get me wrong, it's just not fun. "Hardcore Realism" setting helps but everything just really feels artificial.

Fun adaptation of the beloved DnD table-top RPG. Take the time to learn how the classes work or consider taking the difficulty down for the first couple of levels to save yourself some grief.

It's 0130 and I should have been asleep hours ago. Just a bit more exploration...

I tried to enjoy this title but just found it lacking in engagement. The visuals are top notch, the UI is beautiful but the gameplay just feel...empty. Not really sure how to describe it. If you are like me, enjoying complicated empire management/military operations, maybe try Stellaris or Distant Worlds...this one just didn't have much under the hood for me.

This would be alright as a first 4x for someone new to the genre.

Refund was denied due to play time. It takes more than 2 hours to get a feel for this. Don't fall into the same trap.

Mastercraft. This is a realistic tactical/operational simulator. Excellent if you like realism.

Excellent potential. Stay tuned to this one.

Amazing swordsman sandbox. You can be anything, do anything. 1.0 is just around the corner and mods are great.

This is definately a hidden gem. Server adjustable settings but offers a challenging, high fantasy, survival game with the ability to tame mythic creatures of all types. Upcoming (Free) DLC will only help push this hidden gem to the top.

Definately a work in progress but if FC holds true to their initial vision/promises, this will define the genre.

This game is a magnificant gem for our generation.

Countless hours of entertainment.

Mods are epic in scope and multiply your replay value tremendously.

Worth every single penny.

This game is an absolute blast. Grab it while it's on sale.
