I´m not getting into community etc. Free game, do the math.

The game UI, constant popup ♥♥♥♥ is cancer. Game it self is ok but the constant popup for small rewards really waste a lot of time.

Borderlands 1/2/3/presq - looter shooter.

Lets review the looter part first.
The itemization returns closer to the feel of Borderland 1, while in Mayhem mode with "Anointed" loot. The rarity helps a lot in loot quality but the anointed bonuses will make other items more viable for certain builds. In the end you will want unique - tier / red tier items with correct anointed bonuses for your build.

The story arc is full of jokes, references and good arena fights. Most of the boss fights felt more like MMORPG boss fights with phases than D2/D3-bosses that you can just one shot/burst down. (There were exceptions)

Due to the references to the previous games in the series you might be missing some jokes if you are a new player to the borderland series, But this game is as good or even better than borderland 2 is.

Class / build notes.
Weapons have quite nice spread of utilities across classes and builds. Class specific skills are now the main focus of the game and progress. With the modified action skills (skill tree modifiers) you can turn your actions skills into different play styles. I played "infinite shots" Moze with Minigun + shield action skill "Iron Bear". My other build was Zane "clone+shield". During my 2nd character leveling playthrough with Zane I felt like i was getting weapon upgrades with decent intervals to support gun dependent build.


Please note that if you don´t get kicks out of item grinding you will most likely get less than 40 hours out of the game with all the dlc.

Immersive and fun game for four(4) friends to spend many evenings.
The chaos that comes with friendly fire, some pecking order stuff and jests really helps.

For those who want to play alone in more serious tone I can promise interesting story arc and good voice acting. The game is worth a movie ticket just for the "ride" on easiest difficulty.

If you like killing floors or left 4 dead games you will enjoy vermintide 2.

Crafting and finding items makes this game more playable for reapeated maps.

♥♥♥♥ port. Even after remapping mouse nearly unusable. Just play on ps or xbox controllers or give up.
