This game is awesome. I couldn't understand a lot of the dialogue though. It was really distorted because that's how combine talked in the original half life 2. But I'd rather be able to clearly understand what the characters are saying. I probably understood about 1/2 of it. But I'm still finding the game to be very enjoyable.

Also I appreciate the parallax cubemaps. The use of animations. The level design (that must have taken hundreds of hours if not more). The story. I haven't actually cared about a story in a game for so long. The custom extra creepy headcrabs - that's a wild effect. The horror aspect of the game. The use of real-time shadows in a source game. The humor.

It'll make your ♥♥♥♥ bigger. And if you have don't have a ♥♥♥♥, you will grow one.

The gameplay seems really repetitive. You got your ranged weapon, your shield, your melee weapon. And basically you just hit the enemy, dodge, and hit them more. There's some utility items you can toss at the enemy too. I dunno it just seems really boring. I think it's made to be addictive rather than fun.

I spent like 15 minutes trying to join someone for the compain at 2:00pm on a saturday when it's really hot outside. Nothing. There are like 6k players online on average according to steam charts but I guess that's not enough. I suppose you could have to play these games when they are released.

I love this game. It could use a more varied soundtrack. There's so much amazing synthwave and stuff like that would be awesome in this game.

There's no option to forfeit games that are lost. Like even rocket league has that and it's matches are 5 minutes long. This are a 30-45 minutes. It's ridiculous to not be able to vote for a forfeit. Anyone that says otherwise doesn't know what the hell they are talking about. "oh but sometimes come back and win! and we wouldn't do that if we forfeited" - yeah having an option to forfeit doesn't mean your monkey brain doesn't work anymore. You can still actually use your brain cells. You can choose not to forfeit. But it should be an option. It's quality of life. And it's dumb not to have it.
It's a horribly designed game. I mean it's designed to be addictive and create dopamine hits, but it's not fun. It's not well-balanced. It's just awful. Even at the pro level most games are decided in the first 10-15 minutes and then you're just playing it out. Any other competitive game you can be down and make a comeback, but this game makes it harder for you to make a comeback for whatever reason. And most games you can tell who is going to win in the first five minutes. And games last 30-45 minutes. It's just dumb. But they are making money off of us by implementing addictive game mechanics. Nobody has fun playing this game. But people can't stop. And the community is the worst community I've ever seen. A bunch of depressed children throwing tantrums. This game is worse than aids.
