First game in a long time that I can play all day and not get bored with it. I wasn't sure what to make of it when I bought it, it looked fun but I wasn't convinced. Now I am. It has the borderlands excitement that comes from finding a new weapon that's exactly what you want and breathtaking visuals. The controls took some getting used to but just like most things you should get the hang of it pretty quick. Also, I'm 36 hours in and I'm still in the starting system.... So it has quite a bit of life in it for a single player game.

I've had squadrons disappear after a battle and I've had them continue flying and die when they run out of fuel after I told them to go back to the airbase. Entire squadrons. That's game breaking.

If you like games like Sins of a Solar Empire or Space Pirates and Zombies, you'll probably like this game even if you don't already like Warhammer 40,000.

It has Space battles with big ships and big guns, graphics are good, voice acting is superb... I wish I had decided to buy it sooner.

Early Access Review
"So anyway, I started cutting"

If I could sum this game up in 2 words, they'd be "Lowkey Challenging".

It doesn't seem like a very high strung game, but the devs in their infinite wisdom decided to add a 15 minute timer. So you have to salvage the things on your "list of things to salvage" all while trying not to blow up the ship (reactor meltdown, explosive decompression, fuel tanks, etc) or get hit by flying debris AND maneuvering in Zero G, and let me tell ya, just maneuvering is hard enough, but you get used to it with practice, and you'll get LOTS of practice.

There's 3 places to put things, the Green Barge at the bottom where you put equipment the company wants to save, and on both the left and right side there is a blue processing funnel, and a orange furnace funnel and you'll learn pretty quick what goes where. Often the challenge is getting it there quickly and efficiently.

Right now there's a few "classes" of ships with varying levels of difficulty, complexity, and obstacles.

And here's a tip: With the stinger cutter you can vaporize entire wall segments instead of cutting them out with the splitsaw. #themoreyouknow

Not your daddy's Half Life 1!

Beyond the obvious graphical improvements, which by the way look fantastic (Just wait till you get to Xen! *drool*), the level design is almost completely different. While it follows the same basic structure as HL1 the levels themselves will probably be almost unrecognizable compared to the OG- in a very very good way. The weapons and enemies are largely the same as HL1 in order to preserve the "feel" of combat, but with better graphics and effects, and again that's a good thing otherwise it would probably seem like a completely different game.

Overall, weather you've played the original or not, this is a must play for fans of the series. This could easily be a $60+ AAA game, and for $20 it's a no-brainer. My congratulations to the team for a job very well done. /hattip

First of all, I like the game. I WANT to play it. And I have. But 56ish hours into the campaign (about 45 percent complete) the game bugged out causing me to restart the game, then it wouldn't reload the save file. I've tried everything including going into RDR2 Online then loading the campaign, even loading old save files. They're all corrupted and now I have to start all over. It's really sad that even though we got the game last it's still broken all to hell. If they fix it I'll play it again. Until then...

I don't remember the last time I played a game this *$%@ing addictive. In fact these days I find myself more and more distracted and unable to finish some games. Not this one! *Shakes fist* Curse you Klei Entertainment! I've spent 21 of the last 48 hours playing this blasted game. In fact I had to pry myself away because I have a job to do in the morning and I must sleep. Another reviewer said "Don't buy this game if you have a wife/kids/job" and that is so true. Spent most of November addicted to this game...

This is the second time I've tried to play this. The first time I don't remember exactly what happened but I got completely frustrated and uninstalled the game. This time I played it, I got 6 or 7 missions into the game and my plane did a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ nose dive into the ground and I lost ALL PROGRESS. Then I tried again, got probably 12 missions in, I got shot down despite having a decent plane and crew. Again, I lost all progress. Everything I bought for the plane, grinding painstakingly buying 1 item per mission, all of it ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ gone. All my crew's gear. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ gone.
You barely get enough money to buy anything and when you do, all it takes is one bad mission to lose everything you've spent hours building.

And yeah I get it. In real life, the plane would be destroyed, the crew would die. But this is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ video game. I'm here to have fun, not waste my time grinding only to lose everything. I will never play this game again.

Fun little game, kept me busy for 6 hours. Weather it's worth 5 bucks is up to you.

This game is a lot like Eufloria in that you have spheres (cells) that generate small balls (Antibodies) that you use to attack other spheres or upgrade your own spheres. 3 sphere "levels" (small medium large), each provides more health and faster Antibody spawn rate. The game is pretty much decided on how quickly you can spawn your antibodies, then zerg rush enemy spheres. At least it would be, but the AI seems to like to ignore the player, so 9 times out of 10 you can move your sphere to the side and let the 2 or 3 or 4 enemy spheres duke it out while you upgrade your own sphere and ninja others while they're busy fighting. There's a way to upgrade how fast and strong your spheres are, but it doesn't seem to matter much.

Only thing I didn't like is there's no button to select all your antibodies so you end up in and endless cycle of click-drag-select then another click telling them where to go.

There's about 60 levels to go through. And that is basically it.

PROs: This is one of the best games I've played in a long time. Better even than Far Cry 4, and as you've probably heard, it's everyting Arkham Knight should have been. Smooth as butter even on my wide format monitor. The world is HUGE and immersive, the gameplay is exhilerating, the graphics are beautiful in a way only a post-apocalyptic game can be, and it's a completely different world than what was in the movie. Immortan Joe is only mentioned once and there's a wrecked war rig you run across but that's about it other than Max himself.

CONs: The random encounters out in the wasteland are largely pointless, some of the "information" ones are just people telling you about how awesome you are for doing that thing you did.
Also, the crows sound like people trying to bark like dogs. Ruff! It's wierd.
